I've stayied one this hotel in September 2004 for 5 days, I went with breakfast and I've upgraded to half board there.

The locatin of the hotel is near the beach, you have a small door on the back of the hotel, with a guard, to control who goes in and out the hotel to the beach.

The beach there wasn't so nice, so I choose to stay in the pool all the time. At the pool you have a animation team, who inspite kind of amateurs, they make a good effort and entertain you a lot, they are very funny!

The pool is very big and I used to play water polo with the animation team withou disturb any ohter guest at the pool.

At night, there is a big bar by the pool where the animation team puts a different show every night, again amateur stuff but funny, and they often make you participate on it.
Drinks ther are awfull, bartenders doesn't seem to know how to make a simple cocktail.

Older people used to stay in an indoor bar listening to pretty good jazz players.

Breakfasts are very nice, I used to eat a spanish tortilla (kind of a omlet) preapared before my eyes, with the ingredients I choosed.

on the surrondings you have some fast food restaurants and a few shops and nothing more besides other hotels.

    By the way, you should pay more attention in geography classes, since Islantilla is in Spain, and inspite Algarve is 100km from there, it has nothing to do With Portugal or Algarve.

It is actually in the Costa de la luz - or as some people say the Spanish Algarve.

We stayed in Isla Canela a few years back. If Isla Cristina is the same it is very Spanish and when we were there a lot of building work was going on. It seems to be an up and coming area as regards buying property - cheaper than the Algarve and with fairly good airport links.

I seem to remember that we drove along to Isla Cristina and were not too impressed by what we saw.

The beach in Isla Canela (we stayed at the Riu Atlantico) was beautiful - lots of sand dunes and a beach that stretched as far as you could see. Very nice hotels and apartment complexes there also.

Is it possible for you to be able to change your hotel?
We would certainly recommend the Riu Atlantico in Isla Canela.
