Hi Mickey
No , never been to Holiday Village in Turkey.
Am going to CSR on 29th of July for 2 weeks.
Missus , myself & 4 boys (aged 10 , 12 , 15, 17)
there are trips to the valley of the kings ,they are in luxor the pyramids are in cairo ,they are a long way from each other one is at one end of the nile and the other is at the other end of the nile.
Can anyone tell me if there's a doctor at the CSR? If not, is there one nearby? Also, how far away is the pharmacy from the hotel?
Thanks in advance.
Emma
yes there is a doctor at the csr if you check with the reps the times hes there. i think hes there between about 11am and 12pm then again early evening. i think he charges about £35 to diagnose something but when i saw him i knew all i needed was an anti histamine jab so he just charged me the £3 for the injection. if you do need to see him hes lovely!!
the pharmacy is right outside the main door to the hotel on the left. about 20 metres from reception.
have a great time

we stayed at the coral sea from the 21st june, for 2wks, we booked a sea view roow, along with another family we usually holiday with, we were given rooms no 2025, and 2027, which were right on the poolside, alongside the pooltable and barbicue area, the rooms were ideal with the kids, they could use the toilet as often as they liked, and used the room for some restbite from the sun when it got to hot in the afternoon
rob
Scuba bob you were at the hotel the same time as us then
Well, i've just spent 5 hours ironing and have nearly...just nearly finished packing for all 5 of us. My back is killing me and i'm tired... but i can't stop grinning! Off tomorrow for 2 weeks!! It seems like the countdown has taken forever, but it's finally here! A huge Thank you to you ppl on here, you've given me all info i needed and egged on my enthusiasm. See you all in 2 weeks
Also, to all you people who have been before, I have read that bottled water is only available from the restaurant at lunch and dinner time. Where else do you get it from during the day??? Can you not get it from the bar areas?
Do you stock up at meal times or what? Do they have a limit on how many bottles you can take? The last thing I want is to be dehydrated.
Thanks in advance,
Emma
water is freely available all day and night while all inclusive runs, but its lunch and dinner that you can only get the ottles so if you get a few you can reuse the bottles by refilling from the dispensers, hope this helps
roll on 23rd august we cant wait to see some sunshine, it will be our second visit here we loved it first time when it was newly opened looking forward to seeing the changes plants tree,s and the stream in hotel was not finished when we were thhere last..
Is it okay to get water from the dispensers as I read on an earlier post that these could harbour infection and therefore result in bad tummies, which is what I'm trying to avoid.
Not having been to egypt before, I'm a bit wary.
Had a very bad experience in Turkey a few years ago, when me and hubby couldn't even leave the room for the first 5 days of our holiday. It was very intense to say the least.
Sorry for going
Regards,
Emma
P.S. How did you know 23rd august was my birthday?
I was at the csr last year and was ill 24 hrs into our holiday I was really obsessed with drinking water I used the water coolers and blamed them everyone was topping up there bottles and they do touch the coolers so germs are passed around my hubby and kids just drank from the bar and were fine, after this I followed them and we all had a fantastic time you will be fine but I would empty the mini bar ASAP and fill with bottles of water like us . Have a super holiday.
Did your family drink soft drinks from the bar? I think I'm just going to stock up at meal times. Going to get everyone to grab a handful of bottles every time they go past.
Did you get the tablets from the doctor for your sickness?
I'm starting to become obsessed with this sickness thing now. I'm going to talk myself into being ill I think.
Thanks for all the info.
Emma
Please don`t put all this upon yourself you will be fine,we stocked up on bottled water which is plentyful and as soon as my tummy started my hubby went to the chemist in the csr and got antinal (I had read about this on here) I was fine within hours BUT the people who took imodium etc suffered ,honestly we are already booked for Egypt 2008 you will have a really wonderful time and I will look forward to your reports. The CSR is a lovely place for a super family holiday. I bet you will never go to Europe again!!!!

Thanks for the support.
We too are booked up for 2008 and haven't even been this year yet.
10 weeks and 4 days and counting.
Emma
we drankd from water coolers without a problem, water is bottled, as for germs from dispensers you dont need to touch them, those on holiday that had bad tums seemed to think it could be from saldas its washed, but no one really knows all these type countries you tend to get tummy upsets,
but there were 4 inour party we all used the water dispensers without a problem,,
have a great time you will love it gere, only 5 weeks for us this time there are 9 of us going..
we were at the csr at the same time as you a few rooms along, we had the select room number 2034.
we had room 2025 when we were the at new year, its a great location for the pool etc!!
hope you had a great time.
claire
can anyone tell me if they have stayed in a ground floor room and found any advantages to a balcony room.
we are staying in a select room.
many thanks
I requested a ground floor room for our holiday in september and was told there are no select rooms on the ground floor. there is an e-mail address on this thread in previous pages.
Happy hols.
you can email the hotel direct if you pm me i'll give your the email addy because i don't have it to hand at the moment but i'll find it for you.
for anyone elsse that is enquiring about select rooms on the ground floor they only have 2 all the rest are on the 1st and 2nd floors.
we had room 2034 a few weeks ago which is select and is right next to the main pool behind the guy that does the bbq in the afternoons.
claire xx
Actually I am sure they have more than that! We had select rooms both times on the ground floor...easy access to pools etc and access to the bathroom during the day!
