Hi,
This may be a link for you, Airtours Wnter Sun, page 77 refers to and shows pictures of the Hotel Costa Caleta.
It states it is a new hotel and is rated AAA
According to the brochure, it is 400m from El Castillo Beach
It has:
305 rooms
5 floors
3 lifts.
I hope it is OK as we are staying there for two weeks in July/August.
I hope this information goes some way to answering your questions.
Cheers,
Wodders
can anyone give me more updates on the costa caleta hotel? as we have booked to at begging of april. has all the teething problems been fixed?
I popped by the hotel with tickets for one of our excursions (Tourventura) last night and was very impressed by the reception. Very clean and modern, looking out to 2 beautiful pools fit with massage jets and top quality sun loungers. The clients have had very positive comments on the hotel, only minus being the views are not existant, all rooms looking out to other buildings.
Ive booked this hotel for August and was wondering how far it is from the marina if there is one. Can anyone tell me?
I have just had a look at the information posted on Costa Caleta Hotel and it has been helpful. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the rooms have a shower as well? Do people use the main two pools or are they shaded all the time and also was just wondering what the kind of food is? It is half board what is the breakfast?
week 2, what happened ?, the big question that hotel management will not answer, entertainment changed to the 1 spanish guy singing, very evident that he was not comfortable without his girl partner, no milo (great guy) and no english singer, sorry i dont know his name but this guy was very very good, would like to have seen a lot more of him on stage, the entertainment was taken over by an english bloke who i dont think would have got a job at butlins, very amature approach, terible.
however the hotel has all, pool and swirl pools on roof, staff still need some training in customer care, the barman at night (PRAY FOR HIM) i dont think the guy can smile and spends more time getting the tip plate than he does getting your order, when checking out reception staff took room swipe card without looking up, saying good-bye or did you have a good time ( a lot to learn but has potential ) however back to san-jorge in september. enough said........
if you type into google
hotel ocean costa caleta
then you can go into different websites the hotel looks beautiful some sites have it as a 4 star their is loads of photos to check out
hope u have some luck

ps i am going in august
This hotel is called ocean costa caleta, i searched on google, there are pictures of this hotel, pool view, rooms, dining area and reception my son works in fuerteventura, has seen this hotel, he says it is a very new hotel, but looks fabulous, have a great holiday
Hotel is graded 3 star plus.
Location about 5 minutes from Beach but centrally located, bit of building work going on near Hotel but no problem.
Costa Caleta is relatively a small compact resort, small harbour and enough bars, restaurants etc to satisfy most people. I did find resort a bit dirty however, especially pavements, strewn with cigarette ends and rubbish. In my view a lack of bins but then again some people would not use them even if every 10 yards.
Hotel
Hotel is basically built around a courtyard which houses two pools and two whirlpool/jacuzzi type ones. Sunloungers were especially good, all had mattresses and back stays. Appeared to be plenty of Parasols too but like everywhere you had to beat the dawn patrol of Towel claimants.
When will any Hotel stop this practice?
There is a roof terrace however with plenty sunbeds but few parasols, bar (prices seemed to differ daily though) may have been unintentional.
There is a small plunge pool and two whirlpools on rooftop plus a mini golf course also. Not many seemed to use the rooftop area so you could get a quite spot and view was great.
Rooms were good but not many have a pool view and there appeared to be no facility to pay extra for one, so request one and hope for best, I was lucky I did that and got one.
Hotel is only three floors but all week on one side of Hotel the lifts were out of order.
Facilities
Basic entertainment but bar were it was held I found to be a very smoky atmosphere so really did not use it.
You can upgrade to all inclusive for 15 euro a day per person.
Restaurant
Food was poor, sometimes no pasta dish so if you are not a meat eater, tough. Salads appeared to be same every day.
Breakfasts were on some days appalling, eggs and bacon only hot choice one day, another day sausages were on, but hardly cooked, only Hotel I have ever been to where kidney beans, instead of baked beans, were on offerfor breakfeast.
In my view this Hotel caters for the Spanish clientele, lot of Spanish in and a lot of signs in Hotel in Spanish.
There is a TV in room but only 2 Spanish channels, you can get a lot of different channels, one hard porn (can be blocked but you need to request that) about 7 English channels, in fact a good choice but you have to pay, price varies depending on how long you hire this facility for, approx. 3 euro to 2 euro a day, cheaper the longer you hire it for. Deposit needed for remote.
If I went back to this resort, unless a good deal which this was, probably choose a different Hotel.
staying at the hotel in a few weeks time and just have a few quieries.
could anybody tell me if this hotel suits families and young people? same for the resort. were there any teenagers or young people around? also is there many brits there? iv heard a couple of bad reviews saying that the hotel isnt very brit friendly and not sure how i feel about this. how bad is the food on a scale of 1-10? 10 being the best. and is fueteventura windy? iv heard its cold in the evening.
sorry about the ammount of questions
thanks
I think a lot of your questions were answered in my review immediately precdeing your post.
Depends what you mean by caters for children, children were there but I don't recall there being a dedicated kids club type thing.
It can get cool in evening but certainly could not be classed as cold.
There are brits in hotel as Direct Holidays and First Choice are represented but it was my view that it is used by a lot of Spanish and why not it's their country.
Plenty of Brits in resort however and Brit type bars
there is a website for this hotel. It is:
hi, ive just booked 2 weeks at the hotel costa caleta for next year, i was woundering if anybody had any photographs of the hotel. most of the pictures i have found appear to be artists impressions.
