They have loads of brollies around the pool and the place is absolutely great my kids loved it and we did too. You are in for a treat. Went July 04
Thanks Weemaz, thats everything I needed to know.
Weemaz, or anyone else reading this, could you let me know what Fenals is like. We do not like noisy rowdy places, prefer somewhere fairly quiet. I have read the resort reviews on this site, and there are a few mentions of Fenals in the Lloret reviews, but they don't really give a many details about the area. After reading the Lloret reviews, it is definately not our type of resort. If we book this hotel, is there plenty to keep us busy in Fenals, and the hotel, without going into Lloret. We have 2 children to keep occupied. I will be grateful of any info. Thanks.
Plenty to do in Fenals, shops, eating places a beach etc. There is plenty for the kids to do at the resort, kids clubs etc. They also take them away to the water parks, theme parks etc.
Loved Fenals, far enough away from Lloret and all the hustle and bustle but also close enough if you want it .
Would be grateful for any advice on the town, beach, apartments and also going to Barcelona. Looking forward to going to the waterparks as well. Wanting to get a much packed into 2 weeks as we can. We have 3 children 13, 10 & 6.
Know any good restaurants or tapas bars?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
thanks Joanne

We are visiting Lloret de mar in Oct this year and I am worried about how much speding money to take for 1 wk.
Its just me & my husband and we are going self catering. We are not exactly drinkers but do a fewon holidays and would like to do a trip to Barcelona
I was thinking of taking £300.00 will this be enough??? Also would you take all cash of travellers cheques?
Look forward to hearing from you
If I enjoy this holiday I am thinking of taking our children next year
Thanks
Vickie
Just been reading reviews of Hotels.
Can anyone tell me if there is a deposit that has to be put down on arrival? and if so how much?
Thanks
Vickie
deposit of 50 euros required or they keep your passport till checking out i hope this answers your question,we are going back this year again as we loved it and your sure to have a good time happy hols.[/u]
Can anyone tell me approx how much spending money I will need for me & my husband? We were thinking of taking £300.00. we are not drinkers and only after doing the neu camp trip.
Also when can I price up direct holidays for next year - it doesn't seem to work on the net at present and are they cheaper for this area?
Next year if I like it I am thinking of taking y 2 children and staying 1/2 board
Thanks
Vickie
hi vickie its debbie again we went s/c last year how long are you going for? we took our daughter last year and went for the week we dont drink either and we took 500 with us and that done us well it was just enough as we had to eat out all the time. we are going half board this year and going for 2 weeks instead of the 1 and taking a lot more money thie year. i will let you know what the half board is like when we get back hopefully it will be as good as we,ve heard it is.
i forgot to mention that the 500 spending money we took done for bringing gifts back aswell but i wont be bringing as much back this year i hope this has helped you and if you need to know any more i'll try to help.
Punto - we are going just for 1 wk s/c so do you thin k £300 will be enough? I will not be buying pressys
Hotel reception prefer to keep one of the parties passports and they keep it for the complete duration of your stay but do not offer it back to you when you checkout.
I suggest you do not do what one of the guys did on our return to the airport and say that they have forgotten their passport !
Gail, on reception, is a treasure and will answer any question about the local area.
On arrival we paid the 27€ for the weeks aircon and glad we did !
Mind the first lift (on the left) as go through the doors from reception to the lift / stairs area as it can stick and go nowhere !
There will be loads and loads and loads of kids - hope you are taking a few, they will have a great time ! I'm told that kids drinks, per volume, is more expensive than the beer in the poolside bar.
I would try to take abit more than 300 pounds, Spain is not as cheap as it used to be, and if you don't need it you can always take it back again!
Last year we took £2000.00 we were self catering and theirewas 2 adults and 3 kids. We spent about £500.00 on trips and also had to dibble into our credit card on the last day.
