Hi Michelle.
Have you considered a coach holiday to Spain? I realise that this might not be viable if you're in Scotland! This is an inexpensive way of taking the family abroad. We have done it lots of times, starting when the kids were quite young - 7 and 9 yrs. In my opinion the journey isn't too bad. They show videos and play bingo etc along the way which helps the hours tick by. Easter is always much cheaper than Summer if this is an option for you. Infact, 2 Easters ago my hubby and I went with our 2 kids ( 14 and 16) in an apartment in Blanes, for 1 week, for less than £500. We found neighbouring Lloret slightly cheaper for drinks, ices etc especially if you stay off the sea front! Malgrat and Callela are cheapish too. We are coaching to LLoret this August, 5 adults in a 2 bedroomed apartment for £1200. You can't beat it!

Aye, i would recommend that too

I've just picked up a nice deal with Interbrava ... ok, it's early season and there are just the two of us, but you can still get reasonable supersaver deals early on, if you are willing to let them choose your exact accommodation :)
