Fiona you can get croc,s(fakes) in calangute top of the steps which lead down to the beach on the left hand side i bought a pair in bright blue with all pretty flowers over them i absolutly adore them they are the bees knees so comfortable, light weight, easy to keep clean and the whooooo factor is they only cost 425rps (£5) wish i had bought more in different colours. They have got the original ones but cost 1995rps(£25).
would you say they are as comfortable as the originals? My feet are terrible on holiday- they always seem to be twice their usual size for the first few days( and thats with wearing those lovely flight socks as well )
I think you probably feel as if they are huge when you first wear them in comparison to a normal pair of, say, flip flops but they do look good to me (this lady was pretty stylish).
So I must get some and stop freaking out total strangers in shops by going on about their footwear.
Ordered mine on March 30th,still not arrived. Will wait until Friday(14 days) and I will contact them.
I bought a pair of croc fakes (apple) at calangute crossroads in the 1st week of my holiday and hardly took them off! Only cost 450 rupees so also got OH a pair,he laughed at first, but after wearing them in the water at Baga he had to agree with me.
Fiona we looked at the orginals and tried them on, same weight the only difference i saw was the strap that goes round the back had the name of crocs on and the inside of the shoes on the fakes you have dimples and on the org they have a different pattern. We got our feet very sunburnt on the first day in goa and bought these crocs they were great my sil feet swell up in the heat like yours and she never took hers off (only to wash) you will love them take my word for it(before i bought them i thought they looked horrendous but after wearing them i could'nt have cared less what they looked like, infact i have them on now while typing this and ive just took the dog for a walk in them.Give them a try.
The non-original Crocs aren't as robust as Crocs, and the strap is thinner and doesn't hold it's shape as well. The non-Crocs would be fine for a holiday but I wouldn't wear them all the time as I do with my Crocs.
thanks! I saw a black pair in town today- perhaps hubby might come round to that colour! But if they are comfy I'm wearing them!!
Fiona, get yourself a pair of bright pink ones with loads of Jibbitz on them. I'm off to get the turquoise ones at the weekend to go with the pink, green, brown, purple and blue ones I've got. I'm sure they breed in the wardrobe - well, that's what I tell OH anyway. The good thing is he's lost track of the ones I've got so if I get another pair he doesn't realise!
you sound just like me BP "Oh that - I've had it ages, don't you remember it?". He just agrees then!
I presume fake ones will be very similar in looks and style.
So you are paying for the benefits to your feet and not just a name.
I tried a pair on yesterday - not only did they look huge they were huge!! But then I do have a slightly narrow foot.
Looking on one of the sites, the Cayman style is a less clumpy version of the beach shoe.
I had to send back the beach shoe as my foot felt as though it was floating in them. I've looked at the Caymen as they said it's a narrower version. Still undecided.
received my cayman crocs today, not sure i have got the right size has they feel very loose and bulky, i ordered size 5's, but on the sole it says 5M and 7W, does that mean i have got womens size 7's.
I read on a site which sells them that they shoudn't really touch your feet so maybe they are supposed to "float"?
Thanks
I was on a bus when it had stopped and I can't remember which shop it was- top end of Union Street though- Clarks maybe? or further up? I also noticed less bulky ones than I had seen in NO.
INVALID URL and they have been delivered today. I have had a size m7 w9 - which is the American sizing for mens 7 & womens 9, equivalent to UK sizing mens 7 and womens 7. I have had mine in the new seasons Sea Foam, whicn is a pale turquoise - very nice.
The Crocs have come with 2 free jibbits. They cost £29, P&P free, and there is a card with a code for 10% off my next order.
I have them on now and have to say, they don't look too bulky and are incredibly comfortable. I have swollen feet and ankles and manage to fit into them with ease. Can't wait to take them on holiday to see how they perform in the heat when my feet will be even more swollen. In fact, my mother was with me when the post came and she has tried them on and has asked me to order her a pair for around the house, and she's 70 so just going to order them and get my 10% off
