Well I agree it is normal at the moment but I have just watched CYBC and they are forecasting a slight change for mid week with hopefully some much needed rain..but no sign looking out the widow it is still very warm for late Sept ...it is 7.30pm 86f inside with all windows and doors open and the fan's on!! boring I know!! oh for some wet stuff!!

Actually rained very heavily the second week in May, as for not seeing rain here I can tell when it does it makes up for the fact we do not get it too often, and usually October has a storm or two..I will let you know.

I've never seen any in October and I hope I dont this time.

Jim, you may want it because you live there but we holidaymakers see enough of the stuff here and want wall to wall sunshine when we are on holiday.

You say YOU have never seen rain in October but last year it was really horrendous, as I posted further up it killed people here, we had no electricity for a day and the garden looked like a duck pond..never say never..it does rain here and boy do we need it at this moment, fortunately they have forecast a little this week, I will get on our sun bed and lay out in it!! as I said I will let you know if it does.. 8) or you will.. seriously I hope it stays fine for you, and I am sure you will get all you wish!! have a great stay.

And honestly I have no say in the matter...

Last year I went last week of September instead of my normal October trip so thats maybe why I missed it last year.

Was it throughout Cyprus or maybe your side of the island Jim.

I'm not worried as i've warned the Keo factory that pubdog is going over next week so they have there staff working overtime to make more.

Cardiff Lad, it was on all parts of the island but the western side suffered a huge storm of tropical proportions, but the Eastern side also had a drop or two, we are only a short distance away, this is not Australia.. :)

I've seen quite a few times when there has been rain on the west but not the east Jim.

There can also be a 5 degree difference in the temperature which is a fair difference for an island.

No it doesnt last ages, thankfully. Its just when it does rain it does it properly.

If you look at the average rainfall for October it usually states 4 days. Spread that over a whole month and its not much of a big deal. :)

Well slime actually last October it was monsoon weather, it did a lot of damage to hotels and private properties, some lost there swimming pools near us and two lost there lives,

Yes I would say that was a monsoon, certainly I have never seen weather like it in my life, anywhere in the world.

Oh yes the sun does not always shine here as the holiday reps like to tell you..

Nice at the moment though.. 8)
