Those are strong - after two vodka martinis I nearly fell over my camera while we were all taking photos of each other in our gladrags out on the deck

Glad everyone else is having a great time on their cruises, and those who haven''t been yet have the anticipation of it all to come! Good luck to those still fighting the good fight - don't give up, it'll be worth it eventually!

Hyah tony ..... am somewot perplexed as to rules for admittance to the balcony cruise ... just wondering really ..... why the iron bar and why the canal???? ..... my luck i would break me flipping leg and drown ..... really thought i cud get on it with just a few tinnies lol ..... aw right phil can just hear you saying typical woman lol ..... xxxxx

Phil set up his balcony cruise some time ago, but since then he has tripped over an iron bar whilst walking by the canal in the dark and done himself quite a bit of mischief. About the only thing he didn't manage to damage was his sense of humour.

hyah magsy .... pc not sorted yet but been told it is safe to use ..... have not got a virus that can be sent to anyone it is an adware one of the worst kind .... my pc man spent over an hour yesterday trying to get rid but it has attached its self to so many different files impossible to remove .... had found that out before he came by looking for info ref it on google tis impossible .... in fact some virus software not even finding it ... so john my pc man is coming back tomorrow and taking my pc back to factory settings. He was able to establish when i got it twas the tuesday before went on cruise mysister came to visit she just back from hols in scotland she been to stay with friends and they persuaded her to join face party ..... she wanted to look cos her pc not set up yet ... big mistake on my part to allow it (yes another Magsy) heard bad things about face party. Later on that day i could not connect to internet ..... neither could i on wednesday arranged for telewestto come out when i got back from hols yet when i got back found i had connectivity.... so am not a happy bunny cos it costing me money to make right gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr .... just has an after thought hav forgotten but how does one get an avator thanx xxxxxxxxxx

thanx aslemme and ann .... hav been a member of HT since last October but was in as patricia63 .... little while ago found i could not get in so changed to luvrainbows then been away ill came back of my hols found i could not get in again so hence the change to yorkylass.... can guarantee i will be posting everyday even if i only so hi ..... just to keep my membership active xxxxx

Don't care what you call yourself Yorkylass - you're one of us. It certainly seems you've been having computer problems. I hope you get them sorted out soon. My computer man is one of my sons, and he's on holiday in Sharm El Sheik at present, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong, at least until he comes back.

I'm in a terrible tiz about the proposed strike for the 18th July and don't know what to do for the best - wait and see - buy a Ryanair ticket amd a train ticket and 2 overnight stays on the off chance that Alitalia do (or don't) go ahead with their strike. R*** musy be laughing there socks off at what some of some might have to pay out to get to Genoa. I should have listened to my mother, she always said you never get something for nothing!!

Sorry to go on but this really is the last straw I've had this cruise since January and fought hard for it!

Anyone got any cheap ideas for getting from Manchester to Genoa and vack the simplest way possible? I have a round trip ticket to Heathrow from Manchester that has cost me £78 already.

What glourious weather it is, must be off Naples by now (in my dreams) On T.V. tonight they were reporting how a load of frogs, from the south have invaded the race course at Cheltenham, must be a first - I always thought that lot went on their hols in August.

It was not an iron bar it was a sodding great lump of iron stuck up about 2 foot in the air and about 12" in dia, and painted black, at about 21.00 who whould see the stupid thing, and what blittering idiot would leave them on the side of a tow path. I now have been informed that they have been there for over 100 years - I just wonder how many of the so called missing persons have ended up in the Kennet & Avon. There is never one of those stupid "have you had an accident in the last 3 years sir" idiots around when you need one is there

Is it a female thing as it seems not one has any sympothy for me even the Covern think it was my fault as "you must have been drunk dad" eh (if only)

At least I have a bit of peace and quite at the moment they are all in the states, (Bush can keep em, as well I do feel sorry for any yank customs man who stops them), I am not allowed to fly because of my lung injury (from falling in the stupid canel) so I have to fend for myself (any one fancy Ironing........)

Calling all HT members in the Bristol area who are prepared to volunteer as home helps! No monetary reward but every possibility of a Balcony Cruise - now who would forgo that! There may even be Ding Dong cocktails available now that Phil can't have any! Poor Phil, we do feel sorry for you really!

Jet2 - http://www.Jet2.com have a flight out from Manchester at 6.25 am on 18th July for £49 arriving Nice at 9.40 am. There is a direct bus from airport to Genoa, it takes about 2.5 hours, or also a train (the Trenitalia website is down at moment so don't know cost), but a lot of sites recommend the bus.

Returning, you would have to stay overnight in Nice as the flight back is 10.10 am on 26th July - it's £19. Total return air fare including taxes is £98.

Perhaps this would be an option?

Evening each from the Balcony Cruise

ye Gods its warm, got all the window open, there is no breeze at all, just feel like droping out of the window, to feel the cool breeze - problem would be it would be the last breeze I'd feel, and I've not re-wrote my will yet.

The Coven are due back on Sat week as I fly out on Friday week (thats good timing eh :wink:)
If I left the ironing in the middle of the floor, the only comment would be -'why did you leave such a mess, what if you had been burgled'.

It reminds me of my Mum she always used to say 'You got clean underpants on ? just think what they'd say if you were knocked down in the street' As if they would be standing around 'just look- never mind his injuries just look at the state of his draws, tut tut, what kind of Mother send a kid out in draws in that state?'

Any way I am going to look for the reviews now, I could do with a cheering up, cause I've no ding dong and theres nowt on telly.
