They are OK, but I wouldn't say they are worth that kind of travel, if its going to be 3 hours each way.
In the height of summer, they are a right tourist trap, rather than it being a relaxing thing you feel more like you are being 'processed'. Many coach loads at the same time and you are only allowed to put your bags ect on your specific allocation of tables.
My Dh didnt want to go in the mud just have a soft drink and wait. The tables which are covered in every bodies bags, clothes they have taken off & other possessions etc to go in the mud. He dared to sit at a slightly less cluttered table to have his drink and got a load of verbal from the Turkish guy running the tour. You were only allowed to sit in your prescribed seat. Talk about treat you like a bunch of kids, its was in case any groups of people got 'mixed up' apparently.
I know a lot of people love this trip, and it may be fine out of high season but IMHO its a bit of a laugh (didnt know mud could get in to so many places lol) but it's overrated.
There used to be a huge thread on this trip which gave all the view points which it would be good for the OP to read, to gain all the views. Busy now but I will try and find it later and bump it.
