I am going on tuesday I last stayed there in 2003 and it was great, clean, good entertainment for both adults and kids. The beach is literally 10 footsteps outside of the Hotel, this too is nice and clean, its not very wide but is long. My kids enjoyed this Hotel and also fishing on the rocks at the side of the beach.
La pineda is not a very big or busy resort, its very laid back compared to Salou, there is not a great deal of shops/bars and restaurants there but you can easily get the bus or taxi along to Salou if you want more choice.
