Just booked this hotel through Thomas Cook for two weeks from 2nd June. First time to Tunisia. So excited!

Excursions - which is best, through the rep or can they be booked locally?

How uncomfortable is the camel ride? I suffer with a lower back problem and I'm wondering if I'd manage?

Anyone know if the hotel has finished it's refurbishment?

Been looking at booking a 2 week stay here for May next year. :cheers

It seems a good hotel slightly mixed reviews on it, went into local travel agents to be told its the worst hotel they had ever stayed at.
This put us off booking after she read reviews from other agents saying they had food Poisioning and it was terrible place to go. :really

Has anyone been recently and know what its like, don't want to book and find it to be horrible but also don't feel that the travel agent wanted to sell us this holiday either.

We were there in June. Funnily enough I only got round to writing a hotel review last night. Have a look.
Didn't hear about any food poisoning, if it did happen it's more likely to have been caused by the hotel guests not washing their hands when they go to the toilet and then going straight into the restaurant. It became a bit of a personal campaign while I was there. "Excuse me, there's the tap, there's the soap, WASH YOUR HANDS!" People can be disgusting and that's not the hotel's fault.
