Hi guys, off to LA in October, wonder if anyone could give me any idea of a/c type, seat pitch, seat plans, if we have seatback IFE etc? Flying LGW-ATL (DL11) then ATL-LAX (DL125), then a week later flying LAX-DTW (DL1606) then DTW-LHR (DL6)?

You can use your headphones, however you'll need a two pin aircraft adaptor for them to work in stereo.

Delta announces new transatlantic flights

Delta Air Lines plans to launch flights from Heathrow to Boston and Miami, snapping up take-off and landing slots that British Airways and American Airlines were forced to give up to gain approval for their transatlantic alliance.

It has applied to the EU and US authorities for permission to launch a twice-daily year-round service to Boston and a daily year-round service to Miami.

Delta said its new services would benefit customers by increasing competition between the US and Heathrow, which is tightly restricted by a shortage of available slots.

According to Delta, the oneworld alliance, which includes American Airlines and British Airways, holds 47 percent of Heathrow's takeoff and landing slots, while the Star Alliance, which includes United Airlines, US Airways, bmi and Lufthansa, accounts for 25 percent of Heathrow's slots.

SkyTeam, whose members include Delta, Air France-KLM and Alitalia, holds only five percent of Heathrow's slots, it said.

If approved, Delta's Heathrow services to Boston and Miami would begin on March 27 next year and would be offered in cooperation with its trans-Atlantic partners Air France-KLM and Alitalia.

Just returned from a week in Las Vegas, flew with Delta via Atlanta both ways & i wouldn't fly with them again if you paid me!

Flights were bang on time but the aircraft itself was something from the dark ages, no personal IFE, shabby uncomfortable seats with poor legroom. 3 out of the 4 flight had these shoddy old aircraft. Only the flight from LAS - ATL had a modern plane.

Delta seriously need to revamp their boarding process as it is chaotic.
We had chosen seats to the rear of the plane & were in Boarding Zone 3, once special assistance & first class etc had been loaded they loaded Zone 1?
As the plane was boarding via the front door anyone with a modicum of common sense would load the rear passengers first to minimise congestion & expedite the boarding process. Not Delta, they loaded the front passengers first & don't care how big your hand luggage is or how many pieces of it you have!
This caused mayhem for passengers trying to get past them to their seats as they tried to wrestle their massive baggage into the overhead lockers.

The food was fine, but sitting at the rear of the plane we werent offered much choice of what was left, as all the best meals had already been eaten.
