This is the only time of year that I have not visited the town so I would be interested to hear how it compares to other times. For instance, even in summer, on a sunday the town is deserted as everyone is in church, with family or at the beach, so I think the town could be similarly quiet?
Have you booked anything for Christmas Eve or New Year or are your children too young? I am curious as I am considering a visit with my family next Christmas.
Enjoy your break.
Stephen.
I can tell you that at the moment we are having torrential rain and have had since yesterday. According to the local weather forecast we will have this at least until weekend. Also the temperatures are only around 3 degrees celsius so make sure you bring warm clothing; it gets really cold at night as well as during the day.
It's a shame that you will not be here for Epiphany (5th January) as this is when we have the Festival of The Three Kings. There is a parade down Marques de Campo and traditionally, the Spanish children receive their gifts.
Best Wishes for the holiday,
Laguna
Cheers, Stephen.
I'm not able to be specific about which restaurants are open at New Year however, if you have any favourites and you contact them I'm sure they will let you know. Alternatively, you could have a look at the tourist information website where a lot of the local restaurants are listed (with contact details) and again, if you contact them they will tell you their opening times over the holiday.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help , Stephen.
Good luck Stephen with your holiday plans. I am sure people will be out in Denia for the bells and eating grapes. Why not try Luganos the pizzeria on the front - they are always busy and very family orientated, they might well be open over the holiday.
In the mean time i hope you and your family have a great Christmas and new year.
Best wishes, Stephen.

Well it's very grey, damp and dismal here in the UK, despite the thousands of garden lights everywhere! Just checked the BBC site and Christmas Day is going to be 14 and sunny.
Stephen.
By the way, where is St Jose Square? Also how warm was it? Not sure how accurate the BBC site is but I am going out on Friday.
also it was between 68 and 72 most days cool in the morning till about 11 o'clock and starts to get cool again about 5 o'clock. Hope this helps.

I have looked at the webcam before but never used the weather facility. I am pleased I just did, as it is a very good forecast for the weekend: 23 and 24 degrees max. What a bonus. I never go for the weather in January, more for a change of scenery. But that has made my day. Many thanks.
Stephen.
Back from Denia. Friday and Saturday were very warm and sunny but I think the web cam is/was slightly optimistic. Useful to compare between that and the BBC though, at least you get some idea.
