But meantime, if you have not already done so, a search of this forum using keyword Denia should retrieve some useful previous topics for you about the town itself.

Hi twinkletoes,
Hi Stephen, Yes, thnks I have had a look around but still can't find anything about what there is to do for kids in or around the denia area? And what about the apartment complex itself, is it child friendly, by that I mean are there lots of other kids to play with or things for them to do? We have stayed in a private apartment once before and found it a bit restricting for kids as the people there were mostly middle aged owners so not really any other kids around. Also how far from Benidorm is Denia (in a car as we would prob hire) and Denia itself are there very many shops etc close to these apartments? Any other info that springs to mind just fire away, thanks
I have an apartment in Elegance and have been traveling to Denai for about six years now, 4 or 5 times a year and i love the place but everyone is different. My kids have a great time at Elegance they have made lots of friends and always make more each time they go. Kids can run free within the complex and will be very safe. Depending when you are going and if over the holiday period then there will be other kids there. There are not to many rules unlike other urbanization. As far as thing to do in Denia for the kids, at this time of year there is usually a carnival in town and on the beach there is water sports and pedalos for hire and just out of town is go carts if thats is their thing. Denia is not like Benidorm in anyway it is a lot more relaxed but still has some great bars and restaurant and night life. But again it just depends on what you like. We love Benidorm but just not every day, to drive from Denia and find a parking place in Benidorm should take you about 40 to 45 minuts.
We travel. The good thing about Denia is you can have the best of both worlds with Benidorm just a short trip away and Denia itself is a beautiful town. As far as shops are concerned the main shopping street is Marques de Campo (not sure if that is the correct spelling) where you have plenty of shops at good prices especially for shoes, my wife can vouch for that but there is also plenty of shops of the main street well worth a look.
Hope this is of some help and if you need to know any more just ask.
Stephen.
Hi Stephen, Thanks thats great info, we are thinking of possibly going next May/June (over the school whit week) and maybe have the 2nd week before or after. Good to know you have kids so you'll understand better, especially the fact that they can run around and be totally safe. Thing is the apartment is Saturday to Saturday and we thought flights might be more expensive on Sats? Also which airport is the closest or easiest to get to Valencia or Alicante? Thanks for your help
As far as the airport is concerned, they are both the same although i only ever drive from Alicante and it takes about 80 minutes from the airport to elegance and it is a pretty straight forward drive. Don't know who you are renting through but most owners will let you do any day of the week till when you want, flights are a bit more expensive at the weekends. any more help just ask.
Stephen.
