Can anyone give me info on this area and Marriot resort-gather its inland, but how many mins from Denia by car, also are there places to eat locally, off the site-or do you need to drive to Denia or Javea.
Would be hiring a car at Alicante Airport, is it easy for a novice to drive to Denia from airport!!
Am very rusty on the area, did spend two wonderful hols with friends who had villa in Javea, thats was 20 years or more ago, he is no longer around to ask sadly.
Any advice as I am sure to have tons of question over the next few months

Mariott Hotel la Sella is about 10 kms from Javea , Denia is a bit closer.

Hubby loves Paella, but my memories of Javea were that the Spanish only ate this at lunch!
Good fish place and general places, not sure if you are Javea/Denia based. If not we shall use are noses as we travel along.
Just one last thing, do the still sell whicker baskets in Gata!

It is no problem to eat a paella for dinner .

- La Mezquida, Carretera del Cabo La Nao , for typical Javea food , good paella
- Bacchus , TravesÃÂÂa de Cansalades, steak cooked on a hot stone (swiss owned)
- Los Remos, Arenal, good for fish
