HI,
I just booked some super cheap flights with ryanair (4p for 2 return!) to Dinan. I booked them as a suprise for my mom and aunt but I hadn't realised the accomodtion is quite expensive around there. Can anyone suggest any cheap accomodation for one week in May, caravan would be fine but it would need seperate rooms. Also they can't drive so something near to Dinan. Has anyone flown to Dinan with ryanair and if so is it easy to get from the airport to Dinan. Thanks for any suggestions,
Dave
You could try all the usual suspects, Ibis, Campanile, Mercure, but I suspect that the Formule 1 and Etap hotels will be way out of the town centre.
You could also look at St Malo, just across the estuary, a romantic walled town, which may have cheaper hotels, especially outside the walls (extra-muros) rather than inside (intra-muros). Both towns have good accommodation lists on their Tourist Office websites.
And yes I would thoroughly recommend a day trip to Dinan, either by bus/train or by boat - ask for directions and info from the Tourist Offices!
It's a lovely area - especially when the sun shines!
You are right its Dinard, I don't know where Dinan came from, LOL. It's worked out better being Dinard as I have found a few 2 bedroom apartments for rent in the centre (I spent ages last night looking for places in Dinan!). My mom has been to Dinan and St. Malo and she visited a place I think called Concaule famous for oysters so I think they will have a great time. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
Can anyone surjest somewhere to stay between dinard and dinan, we have 5 days to kill before we go to st malo for a week, we need to be close to bars and resterants as we have no car, we have looked dinan it self but it seems to be quite pricey as anyone got any help for me.
Pip
