Thank you BHI like i said in my email to you no harm dont so dont worry i know you did not put on to miss lead me
Yes, you could also have your picture taken with the Sea Lions but the advert clearly stated you could have your photograph taken with the Dolphins. I may have have misunderstood the advert, because unless you take a swim with the dolphins, how can you have your photo taken with them?
Sorry, I thought Sharon was interested in her children swimming with dolphins...not having their photo taken with them

Maybe they are trained to come to the edge of the pool and pose while someone clicks a camera

Maybe.
i have sent a email to Mundomar and they have replied back saying they dont allow swimming with dolphins .
Sharon have you asked them if you can swim with the sea lions.......it seems for 60€ you can ...this is why I said sea lions in my previous post.
And I wasn`t being flippant when I said dolphins are trained to come and pose on the pool edge, because they are in some theme parks.

I might try and email again tomorrow and ask about sea lions the girls might like that as well. Will let you know tomorrow if they still do it when i email them .But again thanks BHI and Sanji for your help
As for the dolphins posing for photographs with kids at the pool edge, yes I have seen this happen at Mundomar after the show. I don't know if it has to be pre-arranged, but I think it may depend on there being no baby dolphins swimming in the pool at the time.
David
this was a specialised programme with the aim of providing therapeutic benefits for mentally handicapped children. I'm not sure whether such programmes still exist.
Yes David, it does still exist, I read that whilst searching for Sharon.

David, that must have been what I was thinking of then. But Sharon has sent me a copy of the email she received from Mundomar which confirms you cannot swim with the Dolphins there now.
Obviously if there are new born baby dolphins at Mundomar, I would assume that the Park Authorities do not want to take their parents away from them for the purposes of swimming with Park Visitors?
But Sharon has sent me a copy of the email she received from Mundomar which confirms you cannot swim with the Dolphins there now.
That may indeed be the case now Gary, but if the parents or carers of any mentally handicapped children happened to be reading this thread, I would not rule out the possibility that something may be arranged if an appropriate medical referral was made to Mundomar to L'Oceanografic.
David
David, would these 'special' swims include children with 'special needs' or 'learning difficulties'.
They may, subject to the appropriate medical referral. I have not had time to check them out, but you may find more info via Sanji's links above.
You can deffinatley have your picture taken with the dolphins both my kids have had it done, they normally do some before the dolphin show then more after. Last year you could get a ticket and then after the show go back and just collect your wellies and wait your turn, this was the best thing to do as the queue was horrendous and it saved waitting in it.
Hi i was just wondering if anybody could give me some advice we are going benidorm in a week . what i wanted to know was what time does terra mitcha shut at night? can you get the discount tickets for going in at the afternoon and how much is a taxi from flamingo benidorm to terra mitcha roughly and is it easy to get taxi back? many thanks to anybody who can help thanks craig
EDIT: Info removed to prevent confusion, as it appears to conflict with the opening dates and times provided on the official Terra Mitica site.

Please be advised though that some of the rides, like the larger 'White Knuckle' rides may start to close down as much as an hour or so before the advertised closing time of the Park itself.
Here is some useful info:-

Getting a Taxi to and from the Park from your Hotel should not be a problem. I have no idea how much it may cost you, but from experience you are best advised to agree a price with the Driver before you get into his cab.
You can get a local Bus to the Park, but I am not sure if they run as late as the evening....you may be able to bus it there, but then you would probably need to get a taxi back if you intend to stay until the Park closes.
You should be able to use Discount Vouchers for an evening visit, but if I recall, the entrance price does drop a little after a certain time. I'm not 100% certain on that, but my first visit to Terra Mittica was an evening visit and it was not as expensive as the second time we went which was a full daytime trip.
Follow the link in the website above for ticket prices etc.
You can swim with sealions at Aqualandia.
We were there first 2 weeks of june.
Hope this helps.
