Are they value for money ? are they all inclusive ? are there any UK or US sites offering good deals ? Of the two disney ships (Wonder & Magic ) which is best if any ? any one got any bad points or tips on the subject ? ThanksJ udy
Unfortunately I can't recall anyone on this site having been on a Disney cruise so you may be struggling for information.
I take it you have read the reviews on the US sites and are looking for UK ones?

Thanks Luci - yes I am looking for a British perspective - is it possible to put Disney Cruises on your Cruise Reviews page with the hope that some one will fill in a review ? Judy
I shall ask for both ships to be added although I know there is a backlog so this may take some time.

I went on the Disney cruise in February this year and it was fantastic.
We did the three day cruise from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas and Disney's island Castaway Cay.
It was really good value for money and I will be doing it again next year.
Everything is included, except alcoholic drinks which are charged to your room.
The 3 day cruise is on the Disney Wonder and the 7 night cruises are on the Magic. You can't choose your ship only your itinerary.
We booked out cruise through - http://www.dreamsunlimited.com they have very good rates, especially if you book far in advance. We got a $200 room credit with our booking.
If you are going to do it you will enjoy it.
I am new to cruise's and i am goin on my first one with my family in the summer, what is this Disney Cruise and is it mainly aimed at the children?

You may need to add a bit more information if we are going to give specific help.
The disney Cruise line have more than one ship and do different itineries but they do target the family market with the Disney theme. CHilden and adults are well catered for..
Most cruise trips are 3/4 day add on to a theme park trips.

where will the cruise ship be sailing and where would i find the information/brochures for the holiday?
http://www.lifeiscruising.com/disney_magic__a_tour Just found this review, through american eye, when browsing cruise websites.
I can't help you with booking but i know that the cruises are generally sold along with an on-site Disney hotel package, especialy in the UK, and because of that it'll be a bit pricier. Check out the US cruise websites if you are planning a holiday in Florida independently and want to add on a Disney cruise. Over there i always check the back of the Sunday papers and the prices for short cruises. Disney is among the dearest, but will be best suited to children.
There are two ships, one i believe does three/four night cruises, the other week long packages. Having been to Orlando often the sight of the Disney coaches transfering customers from the themeparks to Port Canaveral is very common on the roads. Even the coaches are themed and, like the ships, have been made to look like they are from a 'classic' era of travel.

We are booked category 12 cabin (kind of 'allocated on arrival' from what I can gather) so interested to know from anyone else which cabin you ended up with if you booked this option.
Particularly interested to hear any tips / problems on embarkation - how long does this process take ?
I have booked for next April thru Virgin holidays. We told them what we wanted and they worked it all out for us. We are having 8 days in Orlando then driving to port carnaveral for a four night Disney cruise then back to orlando for two nights. Virgin worked it all out for us including car hire. We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise earlier this year and my son loved the kids club, the staff are excellent and fully trained and he was kept amused for up to 12 hours a day, we struggled to get him to come out. I think that the americans demand a very high standard and we could not have complained about anything. Another plus on the american cruises at the moment is that all prices on board are in dollars so with the exchange rate it makes your onbaord bill very good value.
went on the 4day diney cruise through virgin a couple of years ago enjoyed it but everything was cater for the americans and they same to get it very cheap which isnt fair. ive also been on the oceana and orinia and i loved them both as my kids did kids clubs were fantastic
Admittedly our booking is for Mid Feb but we have paid £1240 fly drive (14 nights) and part of our holiday is the 4 Night cruise which was £950 (less than £250 per head !) for 2 adults and 2 children (cat 12) - not bad considering its full board, a cruise to the Bahamas and non stop Disney.
There are plenty of US sites doing deals (don't be afraid to use them !) - try Dreams Unlimited - their prices are hard to beat.
Can you get brochures in the UK?
Is there a casino?
Is the boat a no smoking one?
What entertainment is there for adults once the kids have gone to bed?
I'm sure more questions will arise once I know I can get some answers..
Thanks in advance
I have merged your post with previous posts on Disney cruises so you may find some information in the previous posts.

I have been on the Disney Magic three times the last time was October 2005, we love it, have traveled with children and without.
The Disney ships do not have casinos, they do play bingo most days with good cash prizes.
There are smoking areas on the ship, the cabins are no smoking.
Each evening there are family shows / entertainment and adult only show/entertainment later usually to fit in with late seating dinner.
There is a childrens pool,family pool and adult only pool situated at front of ship {very quiet}
Just heard that the Disney ship is comming to the med in summer of 2007 sailing from Barcelona 10 and 11 night sailings.
Happy to answer any other questions you may have.
