Hi there,i have just booked my flights with XL Manchester to Alicante on 5TH Sept for two weeks £105pp using the mod code.Every where else were quoting anywhere from £155 to £205.I usually go with jet2 but even there flights were coming up at £167.
Pat
my daughter wanted a last minute break so i pointed her in the direction of xl and thomsons, she got two flights manchester to faro 27/07 return 03/08. booked flights at 13.00 27/07 to fly at 18.00 27/07 total cost of two return flights using tesco code was £53.00, poor lass had a 2 hour delay at manchester so didn't take off till 20.00, she was gutted when she discovered that as a late booking they would have to occupy the extra legroom seats at no aditional cost
on the thomson site she was able to book 4 nights accomm at the vilanova apts for £15 a night for a two bed studio but once again she was gutted to find a free upgrade to a one bedroom two bathroom apt including washing machine and dishwasher
i'm not sure where she spent the first 3 nights of her hol or who she booked with but she was dissapointed in the accomm at £42 a night.
she booked transfers online and even allowing for the 2 hour flight delay said that everything went smoothly.
in total a two person 7 night hol in the algarve, flights, accomm and transfers for under £300 during the school hols. she's a student, she was gutted it cost so much

Just a bit of an update on prices generally on this site ;
Prices for flights for the rest of this year appear to have fallen quite dramatically - not surprisingly ! Some real bargains to be had !! - especially just before Octobers half term (though unfortunately reductions for half term very limited if at all
)
Next years flights are generally unchanged and relatively expensive compared to earlier this year. If you are looking at booking for next year, my advice would be to wait if you can.

Grrrr......just about to book flights from Manchester to Cyprus for next April and the price has just risen £25 for our party of 4 literally over night - had been ummming and arrrring over these flights for 2 weeks.....that will teach me
I suppose £5 odd extra, per person, won't kill me, but now I'm wondering whether to wait longer in the hope of a sale..or risk the price rising further
Hmmmmmm

Please tell me I'm wrong, but it looks as though all the promotion codes for XL have all been reduced back to 5% - including the TESCO one
Good job I booked last night ....
I just hope I'm wrong, and its only a blip

Use the promotion code SPARKS to get £10 off per person. Excel also donate £5 to the SPARKS children's charity for every booking using this promotion code. You can use the link below to get the discount automatically.

Tesco one yesterday now £15 off.
Anyone got any codes which give more than £5 discount? The ones mentioned earlier in this thread are just giving £5 at the moment!
Lanzafan
MOD is still giving £10pp off.

Thanks jojouk!!
Tesco has reverted to £20 pp discount.
Thanks for that luddenenturk
TESCO discount code no longer works
The site says it is oversubscribed. MOD still works and gives you a £5 discount.

Give it a wee while, and it may well come back, as it has before.
Anyone got an up to date code as I can't find one that works?
Dont think any of the codes work any more..Seems XL are changing the way they have operated in the past and appear to be severing their connection with Tesco Clubcard as well from the end of October..
Their prices have definitely risen steadily over the past couple of years
......they are no longer a massively cheaper than the likes of Thompson, First Choice, My Travel

Ok folks obviously pretty thick, but have been on the Excel website to obtain prices, but nowhere has it asked me for a promotional code, so where exactly does it ask you that ?
