Please note this is a duplicate of the Lambana Hotel Forum question, but a lot of people , especially those who have stayed at Park Avenue, Calangute, have always asked what is happening next door, hence this new topic about DIYANA /Lambana
The Lambana Hotel was formally known as the DIYANA HOLIDAY RESORT. This is now available to book by manos/mytravel
This is right next door to the Park Avenue Hotel, near the Infantaria and next to the little lane that led down to the "other" Red Lion Pub in Calangute.
I have stayed in Park Avenue since 2005 and have always wondered about the block next door. According to Goan myth it went into liquadation and everyone, including Brits who had bought apartments who where made to leave.
3 holidays later at Park Avenue, we were always wondering what would happen to the complex. This year (2008) was particularly busy, especially with workmen waking you up. Or if you were in a prime position at Park Avenue you could see all the workers going around their busy duties and can see into the pool area.
This hotel is in a prime position on the Baga/Calangute Road and looking at the pictures, looks very nice indeed.
However we will still be booking into Park Avenue this year, but will have a good nosey and a visit next door to Lambana. It's probably going to be a better star rating than Park Avenue next door, but I love Park Avenue!
Fiona, Sorry going to start a thread on DIYANA, because a lot of people I know are wondering about what is happening to it.
P.S If you google DIYANA, you well get results . Just goes to show the websites that are not updated! Hotel has been empty since at least 2005!
thank you for that info, I have booked this hotel for feb just hope its all up and running when I get there.
I am going to need the address of the Lambana for my visa form so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
I have searched for email address with no luck so far, maybe that will come to light as the season gets underway.

Hi there, I have also booked this hotel for March, actually didn't think about the address, that is a good point Inger, I chose the hotel for the position as I love that little stretch of road
Inger perhaps if you google the Diyana resort you will get that address which of couse wil be the same.
I tried that early this morning but was in a rush so did not look too hard, but yes its a great idea to get the hotel address. This is only my second time to goa and stayed in Candolim last year with family, so do not know Calangute at all and plus I am going on my own, a little apprehensive but excited nevertheless.
