Slightly OT but....

The rig they are working on is called a Bosuns Chair which stems from the old sailing ships when rigging needed repairs or work needed on the masts.

We used to use them on old buildings at the University for repairs to clock towers and the like.

The main rope was lashed right over the roof and down the opposite side of the building and secured on a large metal spike driven into the ground.

One day the spike bent and moved slightly and the guy on the other end dropped about 2 feet. They said you could still hear him screaming half an hour later has they lowered him to the ground. :shock:
