We booked a Thomson holiday & insurance for a trip to ATAYALA in Turkey , unfortunately we had a water slide accident , we were taken to the local ( which we found out only one in the area) Hospital , they refused to start any treatment until they had a card payment , we both needed brain scans as they injuries were head related plus my husband need stitches , I explained we had insurance , contacted AXA who suggested we went to another hospital !!!! no treatment until payment was made.
I reported this to the Thomson Rep, reported it to AXA and Thomson nobody wants to know.
My main issue is 1000s people will be buying Thomson insurance going to Antayla and if they are unfortunate enough to have a accident will have to pay to get treatment , our bill was £1900 how many people have a credit card or a spare £1900 to cover this???
I made a official complaint to Thomson they suggested I speak with Axa insistent they are only a agent for AXA do not buy please
