Was there a reason you specifically liked the accommodation as perhaps an alternative could be suggested?

Don't know of that hotel, but if you haven't been back to C'An Picafort since the 80's you will find it has changed enormously. It's now just a suburb of Alcudia, at the end of the suburban sprawl that starts way back in Playa Alcudia.
BTW... you clearly meant Jaime 2, since Mallorca has changed to Catalan that would be Jaume 2. I searched for that also and found nothing.

Pollensa 1946. Yes it was the Jaime2. Thanks for replying. Have only been back to Majorca once since then, maybe should think about it again!

If you liked C'An Picafort in the days it was a quiet little village then you will like Puerto Pollensa. OK village it is not, but still quiet with lots of character.
Mallorca is the one place I would swap Lanzarote for, if I could afford to move. I would love to live in Soller!!!

You would find the winter weather a lot worse than Lanzarote.
