Yes, we used them in June this year collection and return at Mahon airport. We booked via doyouspain.com and had no problems at all. The car was just a few months old.

Finding the desk at mahon was a bit tricky, watch out for a sign hanging up with 'owners cars' written on it. It hangs from the ceiling about half way along their collection office. You will need to pay for the fuel when you arrive.

Avoid Cales Coves, the road to it is like a test track for a 4x4.

Returning the car caught me out too. We ended up in the normal car park rather than the rental car park.
If this happens, don't worry, just note the space your in and give them 2 euros to cover the parking fee.

Two more things to note: Expect them to 'swipe' your payment card manually, this they will tear up if you return the car un-damaged. Second, you are responsible for tyre damage so no light off roading

i agree. any little bit you can save helps, it took us til 4 years ago to try out the DIY holiday but we love the challenge now of matching up the fligths with the villa with the car hire and making it all run smoothly! and having a little extra to spend is a bonus too!
