If you come out arrivals, and head left without crossing the road, you will come to the Aircoach desk where you can ask any questions or purchase tickets, You can also purchase the ticket from the driver. there are stops for the Belfast, Lepoardstown, and Donnybrook and Greystones routes. Right down the far end near the terminal building at the front is the Greystones route stop, which goes to the O2.
The Aircoach is the only service from Dublin Airport that would get you to the O2, but for your inital trip in you could get the 747 (Airlink City Bus) into the City Centre, or the 16a (Local Bus with very little space)which you could use prepaid tickets on these vehicles and get the 151 from the CIty Centre to Castleforbes Rd which is very close to the O2 Arena.
The only problem would be coming back would not be possible with Dublin Bus unless your concert finishes pretty early as stated previously as the last Dublin Bus service to serve the Airport leaves the city cente at 22;45. Aircoach operate seperate services from the Dublin Suburbs via the City Centre 24 hours, and the Greystones service I mentioned before goes through the Port Tunnel calling direclty at the O2, but does not serve the City centre.
Thanks Dublin-Man, you've been a great help!
Hi, has anyone got a promo code for the Guniness factory please.
I will be meeting someone at the airport and then travelling to Dublin city centre on the bus. Somewhere close to where the bus drops you off or nearby the train station (will be getting train to Belfast the next day) would be perfect and all I really need is a 2 or 3 Star costing as cheap as possible!
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Jury's Inn on Custom House Quay springs to mind but you'd probably have to search the likes of Expedia to get a good rate. Make sure it's that one - none of the other Jurys are in the right area. The North Star opposite the station used to fit the bill but seems to have had a major facelift since I was last there and has gone all up market. But there's no harm in checking Expedia for your date.
Otherwise scroll down this board for recommendations and check for those that mention close to Busaras/Connolly/Custom House.
Thanks so much steve, that's very helpful!
You can still get the North Star cheap on Expedia or Secret Hotels and there are a couple of cheap and cheerfuls right by the bus station, Jacobs Hotel and Isaacs. Stayed in one once, not sure which... very clean and comfortable but couldn't sleep very well for the noise of the buses coming and going at all hours.
Temple bar is a great place in city centre Dublin (south side) for nightlife, bars and restaurants, but Dublin is expensive.
