http://www.trocadero.ie/ it is also right beside the Dublin Tourist Office so very handy for grabbing a few fliers or maps etc if you wish. O' Neills of Suffolk st very closeby also, very popular with tourists, and so a lovely carvery till 9 or 10 each evening. Hope this helps. I would book Trocaderos in advance though as I think it would be very busy at Velentines weekend
sorry just noticed the other question there re the restaurant. I would receommend Trocaderos of Andrew St for a lovely meal, see

Our room was spacious and comfortable(105) fully equipped with a kettle, iron, hairdryer, safe and toiletries etc.
There is a cafe bar where you can get lunch, mostly used by business people, breakfast and evening meal can be taken in the Italian restaurant, Breakfast is a buffet, but you can order a full irish to be taken to your table, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I can recommend it, we are seniors and didn't want to be in the Temple Bar area, so found it ideal. We specified a quiet room and that is what we got.
Mc Connell Street is within a few minutes walk and the Temple Bar, Grafton Street area about ten minutes walk, there is a taxi rank immediately opposite the hotel if you need one
We had a fantastic evening listening to some traditional irish music at the Oliver St John Grogarty pub down Fleet Street, we walked there and just got a taxi back, no problem
Now unfortuately Ryanair have changed my flight time so i'm not going to be in the city centre before 2.30 (their kitchen closes at 3)
So i'm asking for some recommendations for nice restaurants around the temple bar area which are open for a late lunch.... ideally a set menu would be an advantage or resonably priced if not.
Thanks in advance
Hope you enjoyed your stay in Dublin
also any advice on accomadation (cheap!) would be great also thanks again x
EDIT: Merged with our Dublin Q&As thread, which may provide some useful info while you wait for more feedback

anyone stayed at / got feedback on The Best Western Ashling ?
or the Harding Hotel ?
Having a 3 day break in Dublin and am undecided as to which hotel I should choose. Considering both the Camden Court or the Trinity Capital Hotel. Trinity seems to be a little closer to the main shopping and sights.
Considering the Camden Court Hotel or the Trinity Capital Hotel. Trinity seems to be a little closer to the main shopping area in the city centre. It is next to a fire station which could be a problem
Camden has a pool but I will probably use this. It has been recently renovated I believe.
Also looking at the Royal Dublin today as it has a good price on the Flybe web site.
Advice would be appreciated.
Sue
See that you live in Dublin so therefore your opinion would be appreciated. Need to make a booking soon as it is just 2 weeks away.
Any other hotels I should consider.
Thanks for moving my first post to this board.
Sue
Royal Dublin is clean/ comfortable [or at least was in 2003].
The price was £71 night but when they tried to book it they would only give them the 12th and the 14th and not the 13th. It would have been a great buy at £142 for 3 nights
The Hotel has availibility if I book either with them or several other hotel booking agents.
Does anyone know anything about the hotel and if so would they recommend it. I just don't which to go for The Hotel qu0ted a price of Euro 95 per night including breakfast and this is for single occupancy.
HELP
Sue
Got a bus directly from the Airport 16a which dropped me off at the hotel. Just cost 1.65 euro.
Walked into town to start with but soon learned that to save the feet there were loads of buses that go by the hotel and from O'Connell street cost 1 euro.
I should have bought the 3 day pass for 25euro which allows you to use all buses including the Airlink transfer bus and also the hop on hop off bus for the 2 days.
All in all I had a great trip. Went by coach to Enniskillen 27 euros return and stayed 3 nights with my son. Back to Dublin Airport with no problems. The Ryanair flight 2p and no tax was fantastic and a 15 minute delay on the return flight was just fine.
Have another 2p flight booked for September but in the meantime I am off on the QM2 on 12/07 12 night so just 3 weeks today and I will be on my way.
Loved Dublin Sue
Any more questions let me know or pm me... sorry again
Sue am delighted you enjoyed Dublin as I know am a biased living here etc but I do feel theres a lot to do.. ( or the opposite if you prefer!) And for 1p you really cant argue especially with favourable exchange rate from you guys point of view.. its total opposite for us with sterling prices very upsetting when you change the few euros...
anyway promise I will peep in here more!
Catherine
Anyone stayed at the Stay Dublin apartments ?
Just back from my trip to Dublin. Stayed at the Camden Court Hotel which was a little out of the town centre.
