What's the duty free like at Kef airport and what kind of stuff do they have?
I have been a few years ago but all I can remember is that airport was tiny and we had to wait outside untill called for check in! I can't recall the duty free at all.
Thanks.
If you are flying within the EU, there is no duty free. If the shop is anything like the one in Kalamata Airport's departure lounge, the prices will be the same (or slightly more) compared with the local supermarkets for drink and cigarettes. The only advantage of buying in the "duty free" shop is that it is air-side and thus any restrictions on liquids in hand luggage can be circumvented. In Kalamata a few weeks ago they were not enforcing the restrictions anyway!
We always purchase cigarettes and metaxa in the supermarket and pack welll in the suitcase. remember - they will not be selling alcohol/cigs on the flights either.
Cheers,
Jet
