Personally it did make my ears hurt but to be fair it could have been caused by something else! and it was only for about a minute!
To Be honest it was for my daughter and when she moaned about it stinging I said, 'don't be daft, here I'll show you it doesn't hurt'
I then drip in a few drops and it did sting me but of course I told her it didn't and she didn't really moan again!
I think maybe it stung me as I didn't have any water in my ears!

Also don't worry as 99% of people on here say it's great! And it does do what It's suppposed to do which is worth the little sting if it stops the very bad pain of an ear infection!

Swim ear feels warm in ear, and bubbles in your ear, this is because excess water in is being evaporated. worked on my seven year old son, would never be without swim ear again. 8)

swim ear doesnt work for me, i asked my doctor and she said the best thing to stop ear infections was, to drip a bit of olive oil in your ears first thing in the morning, and this forms a barrier to stop the water from getting right down into the ear, i have been doing this for years and the kids have and i must say it really does work.

Olive oil is very good at breaking up wax in the ear, therefore it would be good as if the ear has no wax it's unlikely any water will stay in!
