OK. Wanted "¦.
Ideas for our family who have just decided they want a short break "somewhere" within drivable range of s. London. Self catering, hotel, whatever.
Mum & dad, both reasonably active, two active kids (9 & 14) and elderly mum, 82.
Trouble is I think we've been to just about everywhere within that "catchment area", as it were, so maybe y'all have some fresh suggestions.
Who's up first?

http://www.sandy-balls.co.uk in the new forest or maybe here near the north norfolk coast http://www.kellingheath.co.uk . although not sure how fit your elderly mum is
these two places are really nice MM . been to them both
not sure how fit your elderly mum is ... .not very, I'm afraid. She walks but not too far unless pushing a baby pushchair for support (which she does quite often). That's about it.
Thanks for the suggestions, Lyn. I'll go have a look.

Have you thought about Dorset or Somerset at all in a holiday cottage/property or apartment? There is a place in Dorset that i have been to a couple of times called West Bay. Very nice area and is a bit of an up and coming place.
Thanks ploddy69. Yes, we have been there (or, at least, the locality) and we know it. It's on our list of possibles.
