It is those who insist on standing and queuing at the gate rather than sitting and waiting for boarding that cause the most problems especially when they are not in the first boarding group. Why can't people just wait patiently for each group to be called and board in an orderly fashion.
I won't fly Easyjet unless absolutely necessary as Stansted is really dreadful for the boarding procedure. The first time I flew with them I was using crutches - they came in very useful for making my way through the scrum at the gate.

I wouldn't bother with speedy boarding either, especially if a bus takes you to the plane. You'll just be left sitting on the bus until its full and can move off. You won't get on the plane any quicker.

I have heard that they tell the speedy boarders to stand near a specific door on the bus, that door is then opened ahead of the other doors allowing those who have paid to board the plane first.
Anyone have any knowledge of this?
yes that is correct, we always use speedy boarding plus, this gets you through check in without queing and board the plane 1 st, with regard to the buses we always are put on the bus first next to the front doors which are opened first so we can get on the plane first. when it's busy i think it is worth the exta cost as it takes out any of the hassle which you don't want at the start of your break.
Problem is quite often it doesnt work, the last flight out of Bristol I was on, speedy boarders were at the front of the bus, but the back doors were opened first. I wouldnt take the risk myself for the money it costs.
This might at a silly question but is speedy broading the same as speedy broading plus?. Also is most EZ planes seats 3-3. 1st time flying with them going to Manchester to Malaga
The differences between Speedy Boarding and Speedy Boarding Plus are on Easyjets website. The difference is the addition of a dedicated check-in desk at selected airports with plus. EZY use an all narrow-bodied twin jet fleet consisting of Airbus A319 / A320 / A321 and Boeing 737-700. All these are configured 3-3.

Thanks Dazbo5, on my booking - step3, there only appears to be the speeding broading plus option an extra £72. There don't appear to be any contact number to ask them the cost of speeding broading without the plus.
jayl,

I would just to like to point out that is what I did, I sat down. Incase you are trying to say I stood round not letting anyone else board.
The last time we flew Easyjet from Stansted we literally had to push our way through the many who claimed to be deaf and not understand that speedy boarders, those with small children and group A come before group B. Brits at their most worst in my opinion.
Easyjet say it is quicker for boarding to not allocate seat numbers. I disagree - we have just flown BA and the boarding was orderly and actually much quicker then Easyjet because everyone knows where they are sitting.

I know what you mean. We flew from from manchester. There were some spanish woman stood right by the gate. The woman boarding said everyone must be seated before she would start.
We found that at Valencia because they use an airbridge with only one way onto the plane it was much more orderly. None of this survival of the fittest and running across the tarmac to the steps!

Salford _ Steve - In defence of Stansted I will say that when OH was on crutches, he was made a priority from start to finish. He was whisked through security in double quick time - the only problem was it was only him - I was left behind. He was seated at the bar pint in hand by the time I caught up with him I do think different airports apply different rules with easy Jet. It would be much easier if it was all the same.
I have flown from Palma where boarding was operated as it should be Speedy boarders, very small children with their parents, grand parents and those who try it on, invalids and their many carers. then those who have checked in early in group "A" followed by group"B". As a couple we do not hurry but board when our group is called, once on the plane we have always found seats together, but recently when boarding at Madrid we sat on the first two available seats, one with glasses and paper on to ensure that no one sat on it, I asked the lady to remove them so that I could sit there which caused an atmosphere, Her partner or what saying are you alright darling she replied well I was, who do these people think they are. Easy Jet is a bus service of the sky offering excellent value for money if you fly with B.A. you will get what you pay for at a cost, sometimes BA may be comparable, but accept Easy Jet for what they are. in my opinion very good at least for me.
Hello, can anyone tell me if Easyjet Manchester to Malaga and Malaga to Manchester requires a bus to the plane? Thanks
It depends whether the aircraft gets parked on a stand with a jetway (walkway, whatever you want to call it;)). If it is no bus. If it's not then you will need a bus. I can't speak for Malaga but chances are you will not need a bus at MAN
Does anyone know how much hand luggage you can take in weight? It gives the dimensions of the bag but I couldn't see anywhere how much it can weigh
As long as your belongings can fit in those measurements there is no weight limit, however you must be able to lift it unaided in to the overhead locker.
Excellent
