I can't help wondering why some members point people to other websites before checking our site.

My wife and I stayed in the efendi in july 2003.Its a nice and friendly hotel and is situated about 50 yards from the beach.The pool is quite small but with the beach so near it doesnt really matter.The rooms are nice and the air con is free.The Maestro resteraunt attached to the hotel is one of the best in icmeler and the heavens bar is very good as well.You get a discount in the bar if you stay at the hotel,Ithink it is about 10-15%.We tried to get booked up last year for August but it was fully booked but we have booked for 12th of August 2005 for 2 weeks.We have travelled with Direct Holidays quite a few times and they have been ok.There are no fridges in the rooms but there is a little supermarket across from the hotel thats open 24 hours where you can get frozen bottled water and cold beer if you wish.I think you will enjoy your stay there.

we stayed at the efendi last year in august,we found it spotlessly clean & the air con best we have had that cold sometimes we had to switch it off.
the staff are brill,but wouldn't bother getting up for breakfast unless you like cold meat & cheese.
the pool area was very small,the food at the snack bar and the restaurant were good you also get 15% discount if you stay at the hotel.
heaven bar next door very good the staff were great,always willing to please.
you are approx a 100 metres from the beach,and right opposite you have a 24 hour shop,they were brill if you had no change they would say pay tomorrow.
if you want to book any trips go to tunga travel & ask for carol she is a scottish lady who is married to a turk gino,the jeep safari & surf & turf i would definately recommend.
we are going to icmeler for 3rd time but staying at captain silver in aug cant wait i believe there is going to be a heat wave we will melt some days last year it topped 140

having read previous threads on this hotel for which i was pleased with ,i am about to make a booking to go there 19th august,however can anybody give me an update on this years holidaying there?does it still appear to be as good as last year?
also does anybody no if you can hire a fridge for our rooms?

hi htm's i've been glued to the site for weeks and am hooked, i am going to the efendi myself a week on friday and would love to hear from anyone who has been this year, it will be my first time to turkey and i am taking my eleven year old son, we cant wait, any info on this hotel would be most welcome(have read reviews and sounds great)

Hi laingy,we are going on the 12th of august for 2 weeks,we have stayed there before and really liked it.As for hiring a fridge,I could not find anywhere that hires them out but there is a 24 hour shop across the road and it sells iced water.You can keep it in you room and it stays cool all night.

hi can anyone tell me if you hire a fridge at the hotel efendi in icmeler and do the have an email add :

we stayed there last aug and i tried my best to even hire a fridge from around the resort,asked carol at tunga travel,but no luck.had to make do without one.

hi tiger,soz ive only just got back to you,prob with my computer.
anyway we stayed at the efendi with my parents who are 79&78 and had alovely time.its only a small hotel,i recomend you ask for a pool view and anything other than a ground floor room,maids worked very hard and rooms cleaned everyday.furniture a bit outdated,aircon a godsend,went a bit haywire now and then,gets cold of a night with it on.
there is too many places to mention to eat out as we never had a bad meal anywhere.the efendi,s restaurant is really good.breakfast is rubbish,dont bother.staff cant do enough for you,but i think you will find that anywhere in icemeler.we did find that we had to go the long way around the hotel to avoid the staff,if we had eaten elsewhere though.in the nicest possible way ,lol.if you want any trips dont bother with the rep,go and see john toohey in his icemeler office above the chill bar.location is great,2mins to beach.we staying at the l,etoile hotel over the road from efendi this year,all inc.got a brill deal. what date you going?
