Has anybody booked Egypt for 2014? where are you going and when?
We are back to the Tropicana Jasmine in January I hope Storm Alexa has passed, I didn't book Egypt for a skiing holiday .
The first snow for 112 years in areas of Egypt
Cairo
Part of the Sinai Peninsula
St Catherines Monastery
OMG, and to think when we were there 5 weeks ago it was mid 30's!!
Yes, we booked with Thomas Cook to the Sunrise Holiday resort in Hurghada. Really looking forward to it but have to wait till August. Its adult only (16+) and usually you pay a premium for this but at £907 each its a steal.
At least you might get a bit of sun That's a good price for your holiday, we have booked with Thomson who I noticed have reduced their prices making it even better value than we paid, oh well , win some lose some
We are flying out on the 25th January for my hubbys 50th, we are staying in um el sid - il Mercato for 10 nights.
Booked with thomas cook for 2 weeks in 25th march going to sunrise gardens in hurgarda.
Our 11th time in Sharm, and in a different hotel, hope the sun shines
HEAVY rain and very overcast and chilly, I hope it improves very quickly
4 years ago (2010) when we were there it was raining when we arrived and was rather chilly and overcast and the day we left there was heavy rain and flooding.
18 days until we arrive
Weather has been REALLY bad in the last week or so, strong winds, 4 years ago (2010) when we were there it was raining when we arrived and was rather chilly and overcast and the day we left there was heavy rain and flooding.
18 days until we arrive
booked the coral sea aqua club for 2 weeks from 9th may with my wife and our 2 daughters! not long now! first time to Egypt! went to turkey last year and it was amazing so hope Egypt matches or betters it!
Just heard from the trade press that Longwood have gone into administration (their parent group Preston Holidays have gone ) so that means Peltours , Amathus and Preston Holidays (Channel Island specialist) have gone too
Gosh that's bad, they seem to have been around forever doing Egypt. Another one bites the dust and more jobs lost.
Such a shame to see these type of small specialised companies go, soon just be the big boy monopoly left, which isn't good as they only want to fly from and go to destinations that are profitable and and operate on a large scale.
Having been to the IL Mercato January/Feb this year, had such a fantastic time, booked flights back October 2nd for the 12th time for 16 nights, who said Egypt isnt good ha ha
we re going 5th december staying at desert rose hurghada and then a nile cruise on the royal viking

lal I am sure you will enjoy the cruise on the Nile, have you been before?
Anybody else off to the land of the Pharaohs this year?
We are off to Coral Sea Waterworld July 18th for two weeks. First time in Egypt and looking forward to it after reading reviews etc

I am sure you will enjoy it, one of my friends is just back from the Coral Sea Waterworld and he and his girlfriend loved it and didn't have any complaints and said they would go back again
The area around Nabq has grown rapidly over the last few years so there are now many shops and restaurants to choose from there, although if you are AI you might want to just stay in the hotel which is quit a large complex.
The Red Sea is really quit warm and there are plenty of amazing fish to see if you should go snorkeling or perhaps you want to go diving.
Loved our first holiday to Sharm last August, and the hotel was great.
We have managed to book a swim-up room again, which was well worth the extra paid last time.
Same holiday, with same room upgrades, etc has cost us about £600 more than it did to go last year, but saying that, we fly out on 21st August... to fly out 7 days earlier would have been another £400 or so!!!
Looking forward to it already.... just wish we were going this summer too!
Something to look forward too, the Coral Sea Aqua Club looks lovely, one of my friends was there in January and loved it, Nabq has grown over the last few years and there is much more up there so you don't have to go in to Na'ama Bay all the time now.
Never stayed up in the Nabq area so that will be a little bit of a change and something different.
