Hi all
Thinking of having a bit of a Winter get away in a couple of weeks time and Eygpt seems like a good option mainly becuase we can go somewhere to snorkel that is reasonably priced, however, I have heard that it is not particularly warm at this time of year. Can anyone give me some advice on temperatures around the end of February please - both day and night.
Thanks loads.
Hi Hipitywitch
Thank you Nia
Returned from Sharm yesterday and it was 32 degrees in the shade throughout the day. Bit chilly in the evening around 17-20 degrees but fine
Usually the past week its been 22 - 25 in the shade here and 16 - 20 at night. This is a bit warmer than normal but who's complaining ?
Keep that sunshine shining!...I'll be there in 4 weeks.
It's definitely warm enough. I can confirm that Swiss was right about it being 28 in the shade earlier.

Back from Hurghada last week and it was in the eighties there, cardigan at night but lovely during the day.
I love it when its hot in day and chilly at night as you can sleep and not be all hot and sweaty
HAH according to swisssinia in nuweiba at 10.30 a.m this morning it was 34.7C. ,seriously hot
Ah - but last summer the sea temperature was 34 C in August...
i.ll go in august then alan ,do you take bubble bath with you
THis brings back memories of first trip to the Red Sea... I would never have believed that the sea could have been so warm! First time was end of July/August, and on the gentle shelving the beach the water was positively 'hot'. Even when we went out snorkelling into the deeper sea it was still really warm - magic!
il never forget the feeling when we went to taba last august, first time snorkelling in the sea and the hot (i mean hot) water lapping over our heads! amazing! we went for the last two weeks in august and the temp in the sun was between 45-50 degrees, but dont panic just slap on factor 30 (the adults) and you will be fine minimum 50 for the kids its the first hol we have had were none of us have burned, and we all had nice tans.
hope its hot in march as i will be gutted if i dont get a tan
i looked on teletext today and it said that sharm was 40oC :O wunder what its going to be like in july :D:D:D cant wait woooohoooo
