I am off to jamaica in a few days time and just read that some electrical thing wont work there,iv checked my hair striaghteners and they should be fine.But will my nintendo ds charge over there or will i have to buy a adapter also i will be taking a camcorder and my phone (will they charge up ok ) julie

Your Nintendo DS, camera and photo chargers etc will be fine. They only run off low voltage so the tranformers will sort the power out for you and charge them. You'll need a US style 2 flat pin adapter for the socket, that's all.
