Hi guys,
I'm going to the Grand Palladium Colonial next week and have a query regarding appliances in the hotel.
The missus is wanting to bring her hair straighteners however I'd doubt they wouldnt work sufficiently.
Will camera chargers and suchlike work correctly over there?
Any help apreciated.
P.S. Im no electrical whizz so help in laymans terms apreciated.
Camera chargers and similar should work fine, but hair straighteners will work but will not get hot enough.
It's only 110 volts in Mexico and you'll need adaptors for American style plugs. There are gas straightners around (think Braun do them) but depending on the thickness of your wife's hair they may not be hot enough.
Hair straighteners will work perfectly if your wife have dual/worldwide, have a look at the label on the straighteners .....usually found on the inside of one the prongs....... and if you see 110-220v she will have no problems at all. I use mine all over the Caribbean with no problem of them heating up the same as at home.
Angie.
Thanks guys. I beleive she's tried them in the Dominican Republic with no sucess so I'm expecting the same in Mexico. Never mind!
