Dear all , I'm traveling with my wife from London to Phuket , and I have a little concern about the return flight , as I will take a Bangkok airlines flight from Phuket to Bangkok and then EVA airways from Bangkok to London (1 ticket, not separate tickets) , with only 1 hour, 5 minutes between the two flights .Will this be enough to catch our EVA air flight?? and what are the possibilities of losing the baggage due to the short time of connection?
Thank you in advance.
A lot of airlines will book baggage through from the departure point. We flew out of Siem Reap on Bangkok Airlines to Bangkok to connect with an Emirates flight to Dubai about 8 hours later. We spent the day in Bangkok doing some last minute shopping. Left Bangkok that evening and at Dubai we had a 6 hour layover so we checked into the airport hotel for some sleep. Left for Heathrow the following morning - at the carousel at Heathrow our bags were there and we'd not seen them since check in at Siem Reap!!! Check that the airlines are partnered but you should be ok with your luggage but your flight connection is pretty tight so I would just double check with your airline/s - have fun!
Having recently tried a short connection time and finding we then had to overnight at an airport hotel, I wouldn't recommend it. At least our next flight was an internal one. We had ninety minutes. It's not worth the stress.
