Arrived back from Benidorm on 1st January, we found that the best cabaret bars were as follows:

Zodiac Bar:
Tony Scott - arguably the best comedian in Benidorm at the moment, had us in stitches, even after seeing him a few times his act is always different as it depends in the audience he has. He loves to take the p*** out of people and sometimes get a run for his money!

Stardust:
Jason Kane - very funny guy, getting on a bit now but still up there with the best. He spent most of the night embarrassing me and my mate but it was all in good fun. You have to be prepared to sit back and take it.

Gigolos:
Danny Dean - very nice guy, excellent at accents in his jokes, this place is sometimes pretty quiet though so its hard to get the audience going.

Rose Peters - Comedy drag act, extremely funny and enjoys audience participation so be prepared if you prefer to just sit and watch, DONT SIT NEAR THE FRONT!

Morgan Tavern:
Crissy Rock - Female comedienne, very very loud and beware when she sings as it might split your ear drums!!! Funny lady though and well worth a watch

Cafe Benidorm:
Martin Kent - Impressionist/Comedien, very hard to describe, does Tina Turner, Britney Spears, Freddy Mercury and Sticky Vicky!!!!!

Sandras:

Mike Curtis - this guy seems to have been in Benidorm forever but is still as funny as ever. Dont sit at the front if you like to keep your own drink and fags!!!!

Last but definitely by no means least - LEVI GRIFFINE, Benidorms most popular drag act, excellent show, MUST be seen. Gorgeous costumes and a wicked sense of humour. This guy is amazing and always packs the place out as he is only there on Thursdays and Sundays

As for clubs, we found Bahamas and Beachcomber to be the best as everywhere else seemed a bit quite at this time of year. At least if you buy a drink in a club in the square and you don't want to stay, they provide plastic glasses outside and you can take your drink in any of the other clubs.

Well thats about it i think, you will have to let us know how you get on!

I agree about the duo Smart Move, we saw them at Wheeltappers and they were great. The Beatles tribute used to be on at The Town, have they now moved to Wheeltappers?

Best Regards - Taggy :)
