I am going on holiday to Puerto Paraiso Apartment Estepona, in June and we have had mixed reactions from the tourist boards, some say it is very quiet and some say busy. Has anyone been. What is it like
Look forward to hearing your views.
Thanks Margaret
Moved to CDS.
Dont know the apartments you refer to - but if it is at or near the port at Estapona then the area should be quite nice. the port istself has a variety of eating and drinking places and its always possible to walk into the town itself. personally I quite like the port area.
I live within 50 meteres of puerto paraiso. I cannot tell you anything about the quality of the apartments but the area is great. The port is a bit more expensive than the town which is about a 15min walk away. There are 2 beaches and you will be in between them. Anything general you wish to know just ask
Our apartments are at Avendia del Carmen
Could you tell me if it is easy to get busses to places like Fuengirola, Marbella, and Puerto Banus, and Gibralta.
We would also like to go on trips to Tangiers morocco.
We are middle aged couple with walking (arthritis) difficulties.
Look farward to hearing from you.
Margaret
Hi, the bus station is about a 10-15 min walk away, where you can get local buses to all the places you mention. I am assuming that the athritis isn't that bad or you would not want to go to other places. You will not see, however, a bus to Gibralter. You need to get a bus to La Linea which is the Spanish town that borders Gibralter. Sometimes the Bus station can be funny and say that there are no buses to Gibralter as in fact there aren't but there are to La linea. As far as morocco goes I believe that you have to get the bus to Algeciras and then the ferry. There are organised tours to the places mentioned also, but they are more expensive. Less English is spoken in Estepona than in some other resorts although the port is fairly good. I love it.
