Hi my son's thinking of buying an European inter rail ticket for use within Berlin, Prague and Poland (not sure where). He's starting and ending his 7 day break in Berlin. He wants to travel by rail to Prague and somewhere in Poland. The rail ticket can be used for any 5 days within the 7. Does anyone have any suggestions e.g. the duration of the train journeys between the various cities and the best order to visit the cities (with regards to conserving time). Also which is the nearest tourist area in Poland to get to.
Thanks for any help and advice.
http://db.de for sectors.
Have you tried the red Thomas Cook Railway Guide - published monthly and available at TC major travel agents or you could try on line using bahn.co.uk is the easiest on-line method.
make sure he understands what if any rules and surcharges apply when using the various top end trains, especially ICE.
