Hi - anyone out there got any tips on the evening weather in El gouna in April, seems like advice in the past has been that it gets chilly of an evening?
We went to Sharm on May 6th a few years ago , which is not many weeks difference and it was roasting hot of an evening.
I went out in jeans and I could feel the heat on my legs. - Is there really such a change in the weather between April and May.? - thanks
Depends on the wind factor - but yes the temp does increase quite a lot month on month. Hurghada/El Gouna are MUCH breezier than the Sinai - lovely in the summer as it takes the edge of the heat, but can make it a bit chilly in the winter months - have in the past been cold in 3 fleeces in Feb!!
Last Easter the kids were happy in cut-offs and light jumpers after sunset, but would suggest you consider packing trousers and a fleece or similar in case it is particularly blowy as, if it is, you will definitely feel it in the evenings walking around town. Always useful for the flight home anyway (why are planes always so chilly!!)
Thanks for that, been looking at the temps and it does seem to be quite windy. Just didnt think it would be that chilly in April, but will pack something warm just in case.
