Please note the '' at the end of my post.....it was meant tongue in cheek.
I was referring to your penultimate sentence actually. Unless you are trying to tell me that your entire post was "tongue in cheek", which seems highly unlikely.
So what, exactly, is the point you're trying to make here?
Ok guys... can we please keep it friendly and refrain from posting personal attacks against each other.
I wasn't aware that I had made any personal attacks against anyone, but thanks for the reminder.
Excel are the worst airline ever. I can't understand how they've won awards. They should really get it for the worst aitline. I flew with them to Cuba. The plane was extremely crammed and I am 5 ft 3. The stewards were unprofessional. They only had one screen in one section of the plane which meant everytime someone stood up you couldn't see the film. The plane was falling to bits also. Everytime they made an annoucement, they started off on behalf of the captain...ah..They couldn't even remember his name.
We flew with them to Zante this July, and i must admit i was getting worried after reading this forum, but they were fine. Went out and back on time, and their on board service was very good. But i dont know if i would risk booking them knowingly. I just booked a package and it happened to use Excel.
Having returned last night for Cyprus I can once again say - No Problems - Fourth time we have flown with them.
That letter was dated 06 September 2006. To no great surprise, I have heard nothing since.
Well, by my reckoning, the 6 weeks is up tomorrow.
I eagerly await the arrival of the postman.
I shall be writing to the Air Transport Users Council now to see if they can help.
I believe a company can respond within the initial 28 day period and offer a reasonable excuse as to why they need more time. However, I also believe they only have a further 28 days after that - making 56 in total.
This could be good news for everyone because XL was a decent airline before it was taken over by Air Atlanta
Flew to Sharm el Sheikh from Manchester mid October and must say couldn't fault Excel at all. After reading all the negative reviews we were expecting the worst but thankfully everything went swimmingly. On the homeward journey we even got upgraded free to extra legroom seats, so I consider that a bonus, and we got in 15 mins early. I would definitely fly with them again.
i just by chance checked their web site and the flight was no longer showing
so i rang xl and was told no probs the flight is ok and still going (that was last tuesday) lo and behold had a letter this morning the flight has now been cancelled and we have been transfered to the bristol flight 3 days later
as we have already prebooked our car parking with ncp does any one know if we can transfer this booking to bristol (parking that is )
Hi all, after reading about flight changes on here I thought I would check their timetable - lo & behold the flight I had booked going to Alicante in june at 15.45 is no longer showing! I have just rung them & it has been changed to 19.30 same day - this is very annoying as I have to pick keys up for the apartment we've booked & now it's pretty late by the time we arrive. I know it's only under 4 hour change, but because of that they do not have to inform you. I would only have known when my tickets arrive 2 weeks before our hols. Good job I haven't arranged transfers yet. We have not flown with XL before - I wonder why!!!
The problem with booking flights early is that they can be subject to change, but the airline should inform their customers asap.
They were and we had plenty of time to arrange transfers etc. These flights, once finalised did not change further.
I consider Jet2 (and Easyjet as well) to operate a realistic but responsive service who treat their customers with respect.
Hi all again, the most annoying thing is, they do not have to inform you if the change is less than a 4 hour difference - her words to me this morning! So, had it not been for this brilliant site, I would not have even checked. I have 2 other flights booked with different air lines for next year, these have not changed - yet! I agree, we have used easyjet several times & never had a problem.
I have a flight booked for the 24th December by Excel to Sharm and at the weekend, received a cheque back for in flight meals as Excel have stopped in flight meals - going outs not a problem, but its rather a pain, trying to find something to take onboard from Egypt to the UK -
