Going to Gumbet for the first time in September and would like to go on a few excursions, anyone know what is available, I have been told than you can go across to Kos for the day, anyone been, how much did it cost, how long were you there for. Be obliged if anyone could answer.
Thanks
Pepsigirl
You can do Kos - by ferry or seacat from Bodrum harbour. You leave Gumbet early morning (ie before 9am) and get back to Bodrum from Kos around 5pm. Any tour agent in Gumbet will be able to sell you most of the excursions available, cheaper and usually better quality than your own tour rep.
Theres also a Village tour, Turkish baths, markets, boat trips, Ephesus & Pamukkale, jeep safaris, aquapark, Dalaman, oh loads of excursions offered by the tour agents in resort.
I can't give you details of how much it currently costs to do Kos from Gumbet, as it was about 7 years ago I last did it, but the seacat only takes about 20 minutes to do the journey, the ferry takes about an hour.
Hope this helps,
Elaine
Thanks Elaine, very helpful.
