They will accept anything, we have paid by credit card, english money, euros as long as it is money they will accept it!

When paying by credit card they still have the old fashioned machines which they use when taking an imprint of your card so keep all your receipts until it appears on your statement.!

i wouldnt pay them nowt they rip you of with the trips go in to town and get it at half the price then you,ll have more money for more trips

I do agree Wazza, when we went to Portugal this year we booked our excursions before we went and saved £50 on one excursion alone.

Do try to book excursions independently as most of the time you find you are on the same coach as the people who have gone through reps and paid a fortune.

You can literally make your own itinerary including mini cruises, trips to Cairo, Abu Simbel, balloon trips, tombs, temples etc. Find out how much your tour operator is charging, then go and have a word with Jolleys. You will be surprised, but don't forget to haggle a bit!!!

Yes i agree go to Jolley or Karnak travel, they are both very good, they are both infront of The Winter Palace. there are lots of travel agents there so shop round

How far are they from the LTI which is where wer're staying?
Walkable/bus ride??

staying at the movenpick ,but have 2children so really worrid about there safety ,are the trips ,with the tour operators very expensive

Sorry Tilley your thread was sort of hijacked wasn't it! We were talking about Luxor and if the hotel you are going to is the LTI in Sharm el Sheikh, then i'm afraid it would be rather a long journey!

There are plenty of operators in Sharm dong tours as well as the major travel companies. If you go to Naama Bay, there are lots in walking distance.

I would just add that my experiences in Sharm have been the Travel reps wanting to be paid in US$ either with cash or on a card. There is obviously some advantage to them to do this but of course, it adds to the cost for the customer.

we used our visa card with our rep. but with charmofsharm we paid cash but they accept any currency
