If you paid by Credit Card you should be able to get your money back under the rule section 75.

hiya - rule 75? i need to quote that to the bank 'cos they said that they couldn't do anything about it unless i got something in writing from green tours saying that they wouldn't refund me. i would imagine my chances of that are nil!!!

Myself and family got phone calls stating that we could have a great deal on holidays for up to 6 people if we signed up. Price was £399, but after a few buts ETC they said £199 would pay for holidays for the next 3 years. We have to pay taxes etc and extra flights if more than 3 went. The paper work has come, it states that there is another payment of £99 after 12 months for the renewal of the Loyalty Card. there was nothing said when first approached via phone call form "The Famous Green Tours".. It is from "Lifetimemarketingsolutions"...I am going across to Costa Blanca in the next few days, and will book a tour with them. Can anyone give me some advise as to what to say, do etc when I am THERE at Don Quixote. YES I am naive and in my 50`s...

i have just had a phone call from a woman from the green tours offering 2 week cruise with royal Caribbean plus another week in their hotel for 4 at the cost of £595 they had all my details from when i bought bedding from the day, date ,cost ect i told her i would have to speak to hubby so she is ringing back tomorrow any advice

should i ask for all details to be sent through post so i can sign it and if phone only say no

i have just spoken to royal Caribbean cruise company the have advise my its not real so stay away glad i rang them now

and i am now ready for the call tomorrow

In 2005 I visited Spain with my mum.
She purchased some bedding through a Famous Green Tour 'Blanket Trip'
She actually still says to this day that she has never slept so well since she has had the bedding.

On the 11th Oct, over 5 years later, my mum had a call from a lady telling her she had been selected for a 2 week cruise for £598.
Either a Mexico or Bahamas cruise for 4 people.

Sounds to good to be true surely!!

Well I have since called The Famous Green Tour in Spain, based in Don Quixote.
They have confirmed that my mum was chosen for a cruise voucher at that price.

They also confirmed the day and date she purchased the bedding and also exactly how much she spent.
If this was a scam, how could a scammer know such details?

They did say that she would need to purchase flights, but Royal Caribbean source them at a reduced price.
They have new ships which need filling and they do not want them sailing half empty.

My mum spent a fair amount of money 5 years ago, and this is a reward for her loyal custom.
Anyone reading this can be assured that if you have had a similar call that it is genuine.
I have names and numbers plus booking confirmation of the cruise for the company dealing with the order.

Annoys me that there are scare mongers out there who jump on a band wagon assuming that these kind of deals are nonsense.
I appreciate it is wise to be sceptical, but on this occasion it is genuine.

Hope this helps anyone with similar worries I had before checking the deal out.

Buying something 5 years ago doesn´t make you a loyal customer.

Because they´ve obtained them from the Famous Green Tour company by some unknown means. Whether the Famous Green Tour company are complicit in this scam we cannot say.

It would be interesting to see what the latest date is that they´ve obtained someone´s details and whether it´s still going on.

So are you still saying my mum has been stitched up and is £600 lighter in the pocket?

Or are you simply speculating that it 'could' be a s*cam?

Funny how they knew the exact date and to the penny how much she spent.

Plus I called the office in Spain who confirmed the booking.

My mum has since had details confirmed......... Bahamas cruise here we come!!

To anyone who is called saying they have won a holiday with Green Tours DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS OR PAY THEM ANY MONEY!!! My father paid a deposit on a so called holiday that they had won and it has taken him going to the Daily Mirror to get anywhere with getting any money back. If anyone else has had a problem with getting a refund or not receiving a holiday then phone Mr Penman, who my father phoned from the Daily Mirror on: 020 72933000. After making a few phone calls and speaking a few times with Mr Penman Green Tours have now refunded the money back to him but it was a struggle!!!!

Hi Popirene, I was not able to get onto a Trip with the Green Tours, while I was out in Spain. I was not too well when I got there. My friend was going to book us up to go on the wild west trip on the Sunday, before I came home, but they had cancelled it. So I am still in the same position as before. VIV

My Dad tried getting it back himself for approx one month but had no joy what so ever. That's when he decided to phone up the Daily Mirror. After contacting the paper it took six weeks to get all of his money back. Hope this is useful for you.

Just to let you good people know - I was offered an all inclusive 2 week Caribbean cruise/hotel stay this morning. Apparently they were giving 20 out to their previous customers of Green Tours Benidorm. The cost was £598 inclusive for 2 to be taken within the next 5 years. Give the girl her due, she did tell me when I asked her that flights were not included. Too good to be true? I declined the offer.

I went on holiday to benidorm 2 years ago, and me and my family went on a free trip with the green tour, we bought a mattress and bedding, which we are very happy with, we were thinking off going back to benidorm and as my older son was 13 we had to pay full price for him, then we got a call from green tour that said they had teamed up with a travel agent and they explained all the pros and cons and we paid £399, the end result was we got a holiday in benidorma nd another free trip which we bought more bedding on and we still have a free week to go, do your self a favour listen to the girl or boy on the phone cos they make sense and will save you money believe me we are living proof and if we could be on an advert for them we would all i can say is i am looking forward to my next holiday, and if you are picking up my IP address you will see i am registered with you by name and full address, very disapointed that all viewers dont do the same PLEASE LISTEN ITS ALL GOOD thanks green tour
