Hi all, I've just come across this thread and I'm a bit shocked to be honest. I spent my teenage years in Alfaz del Pi and went to school with the son of the people who ran the Famous Green bedding tour. Could someone who knows PM the surname of the owners so I can see if it's the same people I knew? If it is the same family I have to admit they played it a bit fast and loose back in the day, but nothing on this scale. If it is the same people I knew their surname begins with a B, if thats any help. Actually I'm quite surprised they can carry on like this size for so long without getting caught.
cheers
Chris
Their website has been removed does anyone know the latest on the company as Id been planning on going 1 or 2 trips when over next week
Well thanks to the weather I wont be there but green tours have tried to call me a couple of times now in the last 2 days
Hello RC of Redcar I was relieved to hear you had good experience with Green Tours I have a relative who is waiting for a brochure from them and is getting very concerned at the lack of communication from them, she like others has given her credit card details, but has just recently received a letter from them but no further details. I understand they offered her a cruise. Are you able to expand on your experience and what order the event took place ie brochure, booking details etc.
Hi All- I am actually writing this on behalf of my elderly uncle. He was approached by Green Tour in Benidorm a couple of years ago, with an offer that he could not refuse...He paid for 3 holidays - in advance- that he can book 'whenever he wishes'. He has booked a hotel through them for April this year (we booked the flights & transfer seperately), and has not really understood that he paid for three holidays. So he received a call from them earlier this week, asking him when he is going to book the next holiday with them. What I am worried about is 1) That he would get to the hotel in April, only to find out that no reservation had been made (I intend to email the hotel), 2) that next time he wishes to book a hotel stay with Green Tours, they would add 'admin' or 'misc' cost to what he's already paid 3) That they do not seem to be part of ABTA....Besides- what kind of an offer is it to pay for three holidays in advance? Never heard this kind of thing...My uncle is not 100% sure of the details, and I was wondering if any of you heard of such plans or problems before? Thanks for your assistance!
Never buy anything like this again on the phone. If there's anything further I'll let you all know
Wish I'd read these posts before I committed to buying from them, I should have realised at the age of 63 that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. However I was convinced that it was a good idea to buy 3 x 1 weeks holiday for 2 (including flights) for just £199 (why don't I ever learn). It was the talk of connections to Radisson hotels that made me do it. Anyway I'm now chasing my money as I've heard nothing. My credit card statement shows the payment to The Royal Sleep Collection, but MBNA provided further details, Famous Green Tour SA and gave me 2 phone numbers, one of which was dead, the other just an answerphone in the name of TRSC. Left a message requesting a call back, but I feel it will be another mess and I'll have to approach MBNA under Section 75 for yet another refund. New Year Resolution #1, Post a Reply
