Hi to all!

ADY

Must make a note not to take a pen with me unless I sign my life away!Oddly though it has been an ongoing discussion in the family whether we should consider a flat in the sun, but not this time!

DAV

booked to go to the Farkonia oon the 21st June for 2 weeks, 1 bed apartment so the deed is done!

The nice lady at Thomas Cook says we are about 500 metres from the main bars and restaurants in pernera so hopefully the noise level will be acceptable otherwise I'll need some form of restraints to keep the wife from sorting it out!LOL!

Really looking forward to it,we would normally go to Icmeler in Turkey where the music is also loud but stops at midnight,so all in all it will be fine.

Hi Nyle,

We have also stayed at the Captain Pier Apts many times and the noise has never bothered us.

The Farkonia apartments are very near to the Captain Pier they look very nice we have walked all around them. I am sure the noise won't bother you.

Yes it is noisy at Windmills and we find on returning to the apartments at night and sitting on the balcony you hear music from a number of bars and hotels but it has never kept us awake.

We are hoping to stay at the Captain pier again this year - just really hope the new building doesn't ruin the place or the lovely beach. It's a shame but I suppose nothing stays the same forever.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday and fall in love with Pernera as much as we have!!

You mean Zivania - the local fire water ?
Got a bottle in the garage

The locals say that the men drink it and the women use it to clean the windows

hi!

just had a E mail response from these apartments (very very prompt) who whenn asked said that air-con was minimum 19,25 cypr pounds per-week, and that safety deposit boxes were a minimum 4.50 cypr pounds per-week. Does this sound about right?Seems quite cheap? unless of course " minimum" means that it will increase during high season?I'm concerned as I had heard that air-con in some resorts could be as much as 9 cypr pounds per-day, this we could not afford, so was just wondering what if any is the average for late June early July? Thanks to all! Not long now!!!

Alistair and Helen

A big whoops! just checked the web site and the air con is 2.75 cypr pounds per day so the estimate was right and is very reasonable! Apologies to the list!
