I can't believe you weren't allowed to advertise it on eBay......there are people advertising holidays on there whereby they're private sales for similar reaons to yours

I know they have rules with regards the flights....it's not the actual holiday that's the problem it's the ATOL part of the flight that they don't allow individuals to advertise package hols......mad really when you think that as long as the hol is ATOL protected what's the issue ? You surelt take your chances and make your own mind up as to whether to bid or not

I have put it on ebay again and changed a few thing around, the item number is 150309145331 and if you do search on this number you should find it.

I have put it on for £750 or best offer and I am giving 25% of the winning offer to children in need, the money that will be given to this charity will be handled by ebay and I have also filled out the gift aid form that I believe gives them another 28% of the amount donated.

I have also kept the User ID private so no one will know who wins this auction.

Whisper,I have just had a thought! Would your local branch of Thomas Cook travel agents not advertise the holiday in their window for maybe £999?
I am sure if they did it would be snapped up straight away as lots of people are on the lookout for a late deal.
It would appeal to people who are retired as they dont have to make arrangements for leave,and they may not have access to the internet.

Whatever the outcome to this situation, your father will be very proud that you havent given up on this cause, i wish you the best, respect goes to all concerned

Of course they will Jay, but only right after they've bought it back for £175!!!

I know, that would be great but I asked them to help me sell it and they said no. But you are right, as soon as I sell it back for £170 it will be in every shop window.

This topic has now been locked. As previously stated we don't allow flights/holidays etc to be advertised and sold on HT and by leaving it open it maybe seen that we have allowed it.
