Hello, hope these questions dont sound too stupid but not been to Cyprus before!

Can you drink the water?

Do you need to take a travel plug adaptor?

Do they drive on the left?

hi daisybumpkins, yes you can drink the water, but why when there's keo (local beer)
they do drive on the left same as us but they are more maniac drivers than us.(the road signs in cypriot and english)
most hotels apartments have our plugs some have continental type but adapters are available and cheap.
also most toilets you have to put paper in bin at side of toilet.(added just in case you didn't know.

Can I just but in here and ask what time it gets dark in Cyprus in may. Just been on some webcams and they are all in darkness (17.45GMT). I thought one may be faulty, but all 4, me thinks not.
I've only ever been to spain and it doesn't usually get dark till 930ish spanish time.

Don't forget that Cyprus time is 2 hours ahead of UK

18.45 here will be 20.45 over there and it was pitch black so that means it probably starts getting dark about 19.45 Cyp. time. Am I right in assuming this?

Not sure what time it would actually be dark there, but here in the UK we have the light evenings till 10 pm because we are much further north than Cyprus. In the Arctic circle it doesn't get dark at all in high summer, and further south it gets dark earlier. That's why it gets dark in southern England before the north of Scotland in the summer, and vice versa in the winter - at least that's how I think it goes!

Like many parts of southern Europe it does get dark thankfully a little early, you will find this a relief from the sun....see link at 7-8pm tonight to get a live link of light and weather conditions on Cyprus..

If the sun runs your holiday then you could at this very moment lay on your sunbed...and the time as I write this is 7-12am UK time 5-12am!!!

Do not drink the water in hotels or apartments it could be stored in a tank.

Yasoo yasoo...all water here is stored in tanks just look on all house roofs but if in a villa or apartment you will have a small tap on the kitchen sink this IS mains drinking water, if in a hotel ask at the reception if the water in your room is mains water, it should be...by the way the water here is perfectly ok to drink, in fact a lot better than the UK...no matter what the reps tell you.. plastic water? how old is it and where does it come from??

Have also visited the live webcams for Cyprus on Earthcam.com and it's dark now.Will it be the same in May or does it get darker earlier, do you put the clocks back and forth like we do?

It is relative to northern Europe we always remain two hours in front of you, the clocks change on the same day as you..
