Fiesta Fiestis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably need Woody's help here, but anyone in the know is welcome to respond.

I currently have 98 Fiestis from Fiesta hotels, apparently enough for one week in a 3 star hotel outside of July / August. But how does this work? Specifically:

- Would the week be half board like most of their hotels, or would that cost extra?

- How would I actually book, email the hotel, call them, some other method?

- Then how would I pay, i.e. how do they know I've got the Fiestis, do I just give them the card when I arrive / leave?

- What sort of time period applies? For example, is it too late for me to book a single room in early September this year? (I have checked and they do have availability).

- Anything else I should be aware of? I don't want this to go wrong obviously!!!

Cheers in advance! (and apologies if this info is somewhere in the thread, I couldn't see it)

h/b ok
you need to post your book to head office in ibiza.

state dates you wish to go.they send you a voucher for your stay.

you might have just left it to late.but i had mine posted to the algarb when i did it.try contacting head office via email.

stating what you intend to do.

of course its free.

We contacted them online in the first instance when we used them 2 years ago. we then had to post the book to head office.

However, beware - my husband was using the voucher as a free holiday for him, arriving at 3am and discovered the hotel to be overbooked and he was moved to another hotel so not very happy. (I hadnt gone as I was taking children to New Zealand to see family!!) So from the UK I was trying to sort out his overbooking as well as he was in Ibiza. Was not impressed after a great deal of contact with Fiesta hotels before he went and all seemed to be OK.

However, after 1 night in the Bahamas, he was moved the next morning to the Club Don Toni as booked and treated like a King!! Room overlooking the sea, fruit in the room and free All Inclusive!!! So it all worked out in the end. It was weird him going on his own, but he was happy to have a free holiday and I had a good trip to NZ!!

So, ensure you have full reference and names of person you have contacted when you book your room, and it is worth phoning the hotel direct just before you leave to confirm your room number.

We may have just been unlucky as I know plenty of other people who have used their Fiestis without any hitches. Just enjoy your free week!!!
Less than 2 weeks to go to the CDT....yeeha!!

Sorry to be a pain but what are "fiestis" we went to palm beach last year and have never heard of them are they tokens or something ?

its points you collect for each days stay in a f/h.you collect them up.and when you have so many you can cash them in.for room stay longer/drinks/tracksuits/t shirts/ect.but when you have 98 you get a free weeks stay.now not many people know about these points.

years ago you had a booklet given to you with loads of info.plus if you flashed the book at some shops you got 10% or 5 % off goods.but thats stopped now.they give you a card with them on.you must ask for your points when you leave.you can only use them next time you stay in a f/h.

14 points = around 36 euro. thats how much room is to have untill say 7pm.well thats a few years since in used it.might have gone up a bit.

think it was two points a day.

Thanks Woody, so when we leave we need to ask for these points is that right ? Never heard of them before.

yes thats right.ask for a sheet as well they tell you all the offers they have for that year.pity you did not know.couple i know have well over 700 points.and another couple who have been going since 97 did not know about them.they go 4 times a year as well.

dont forget about eating out as well you know.having you evening meal at another fiesta hotel in the same band.like es cana/cala longa

Hi Woody,
You get 1 fiesta point per adult per day.As we were there for 14 days we received 28.I used 14 points from last year to keep my room on until 6pm.Fiesta were charging 54 euros at the Club Don Toni for anyone who was wanting to do this.

wow so the points are worth more now then.thats right its a point aday x two people in room = 2.

Make sure you get points if you are paying adult prices for children too! We have 3 adults in our room this year so should get 42 points for our two week stay.

You used to be able to get Aguamar (Water Park) tickets with them too.

Forgot to get ours last year as we left quite early in the morning, but will make sure we get them this year!

Already booked for next year - Thomson had a good offer this weekend, don't know if it is still on.

Ok I've booked the room with the hotel by email, and they've confirmed, but I'm a bit nervous about booking flights until Fiesta have confirmed that my Fiestis have arrived - what do you guys think? What if I book flights, then my Fiestis get lost in the post? How long will it take them to get there anyway?

To be honest I'm a bit confused by the whole Fiestis thing - how hard would it be for someone to create one of those cards and just write '500' Fiestis on it? Or to add a digit in front of their balance on an existing card? It just seems a bit archaic - do you think they back it up with some kind of computer record each time you get Fiestis? I can't remember them doing anything in the hotel last time I claimed mine...

One last question, bit cheeky I know, but can I claim 7 Fiestis at the end of my week holiday that is funded by Fiestis? :D

you still get points for the time you are there.did you contact headoffice as well.so if hotel says rooms are free for you.you are just waiting for headoffice to send you a voucher.or like me it got posted to the hotel.plus i got it emailed to me.

I actually contacted the hotel via the Fiesta website, but the response I received was from:

Eva García
Guests Relations
Fiesta Hotel Group

...so I assume the hotel contacted head office. Do you think I'm ok to book my flights now though or should I wait until they confirm my Fiestis have been received? I did keep a photocopy of both sides of my card just in case, but surely they wouldn't accept that at the hotel. Don't wanna book flights n then find I've gotta fork out £300+ for the hotel, or even worse find that they've given my room away to someone else because my Fiestis got lost. :que

not sure what you doing here.all you had to do really was send you booklet off or card to headoffice.stating you wish your free week to be ?.. they will then confirm booking.but if hotel is free then you should be ok.so book your flights.you should have phoned them like i mentioned.but give them a ring later friday now.
