Going back again to the Don Toni in September, you will find it to be a quiet and fairly relaxed hotel, we have never seen any sign of 18-30's groups at this hotel ourselves.....
The main UK agent for this hotel is Portland Holidays who are part of the TUI group, it is also marketed in Germany and Italy but the majority of guests are Brits and Germans.....and in the main families.

Hi - I have also been to the Bahamas when there have been large groups of rowdy Italians. Once it was during the World Cup and they were over the top.
My advice is go to the Club Don Toni, there will be other children for your daughter to mix with and it has Air Condiditioning whereas Bahamas only had ceiling fans when we were there. The restaurant and food seems to be of a higher standard and the beach bar is so lovely. Also the pool is shallow all the way around the outside and deep in the middle so there is no one place where all the famillies with small kids gather. We always got a sunbed no bother, this will be our third time this year, our 9 year old son always seems to make friends here no bother. I have never noticed large groups of noisy youg people of any nationality here although I have seen some sorry states arriving back in the early morning!!!!
Good Luck

thing is a few years ago.the ibiza tourist board offered the Italians cheap hols.ie full board and drinks in most hotels.thats why we are over run a the moment.plus they was and may be still be offerd cheaper holidays than uk....the brits and germans were not coming out as much,so they had to look to a nother place to promote ibiza,ie itlay

in my view the most rudest people of all.take all the food and do not eat it all.and far too loud.think they can do what ever they wish.but i am there they soon know who is boss.i take no s... of anyone who upsets my hols..
anyway this is my veiw on the matter, don toni should be fine.

I know PDB quite well. Have stayed in the Bahamas and have stayed in Figueretas down the road 3 times over the last decade. I liked the idea of the Fiesta hotels as last time we went the food was good and there was lots of entertainment and sporting activities. When we went to Figueretas Whit week last year I was sad to find how quiet PDB was and how few people were in the bars. I said if we went back we would want a hotel with lots to do.

Have always looked at the Algarb but I liked the beach area down by Bora Bora and the other Fiesta hotels more - we walked there several times from Figueretas last year.

djwoody - you have the Italians we saw down to a tee. Loud, brash, self important, arrogant and self-centred and demanding to be pandered to. Despite numerous complaints to the Thomson rep and reception (witnessed by me) there was nothing done about their behaviour. They were a nightmare and marred part of many families holidays. Seeing it mentioned on another review from a different year was disappointing. Given that that I have seen other Thomson brochures warn that the hotels are used for school trips and weddings they should also warn about this.

Hi

We were at the Don Toni the last two weeks of June two years ago. After a few days into our holiday we did have large groups of young Italians turn up. They didn't cause any trouble, tended to go out mainly during the day, but did occupy the pool when they all went in it! Did tend to get noise very late at night when they were getting back in.

Had friends who were over in Majorca the same time, and they had the same over there. We were a bit annoyed as Thomson book it as a family hotel but obviously other tour operators book it for large groups of younger people too.

Just been reading this topic, we had the same problem with Italians in Lloret de Mar a few years ago (OK, nothing to do with Ibiza), they were horrid - big teenagers throwing each other in the pool where small children were trying to swim, running wet-through round the pool area and just plonking themselves down on any unttended sunbed getting someone else's towels wet  Then coming back at 5-6am and shouting in the hotel corridors...
I'm hoping there's none of them in San Miguel this August :(

We stayed at the bahamas last year and had a great time.
The only people we had any problems with were British!!
A family that had put their children (teenagers) in a separate room next door to us.
They were coming in all hours of the night and we were woken every time,
one night (4am) one of the girls came back and was shouting to get in the door and she actually vomitted outside our door!
Had no problem with any Italians at all.

supose italians can be very rude at times pushing in when waiting for food etc and being loud drunk coming in late ,us brits can do the same with the drinking and being loud, not the pushing in.i never had no trouble at bahamas beach club, few rowdy austrians but only young blokes enjoying thereselfs.got to remember we was all young once.supose you can get rude people from any country anywhere in world at anytime

Hia , we stayed in the Don Toni 2years ago, durning August, and never had no problems, had a fantastic holiday and loads to do for the kids, my lad was also 12 at the time, you can either stay at the Club Don Toni, which was more expeinsive, as that is were all the entertainment is, or the Don Toni which is a few seconds walk through the grounds :)

Hi

Stayed at Fiesta hotels twice before and we loved them. Both times we upgraded to all inc food and drinks on arrival. Looking in the brochure, we could pay £4 each per day to upgrade to full board. Does anyone know if it would be cheaper to do this and then just do all inc drinks when we get there or wait and do what we usually do?

Also, has anyone booked their accommodation with them direct? Just wondered how it costed out.

So far two weeks half board for 6 of us next Aug is working out around £3600  . We usually go in June!
Reply
in our case it worked out cheaper to upgrade in the hotel
if you just get drinks package its 13 euros a day for adults but only 17 for drinks and snacks with lunch..................
so only 4 euros difference.
if you do it here it's the £4 (5.5 euros?) plus the 13 for drinks

i think anyway lol........we just got back from fiesta bahamas this morning..wish we were still there :(

i would just go for the drinks deal when you get there.get a few things in a bag at breakfast to last at lunch.its only snacks at bar.that are not that good looking either.

don;t forget your fiesta points all

i book direct its cheap in may and oct.no extra for being on my own(for a while)...its just that i need to get the cheapest flight which i do a bout a week before.works out about £45.00 cheaper than a tour op..thats what someone worked out a few years ago...but if i booked with a tour op i would pay x for room.i get a double room for single use.Algarb in playa den bossa

by no means am i tight.its just that for what your going to eat at lunch.after a good breakfast (you seen what you can get)..you dont need much to fill you up at lunch..after or before the beers. mainly only the italians and germans go for the full board package,,most brits just have the drinks.

We have been to Fiesta bahamas in Playa Den Bossa last year and this year (just returned), we upgraded both times to All Inclusive drinks and snacks.
I think its good value for money as we paid £540 for 2 adults and 2 children(15 &15).
We like to have lunch available as we dont always get up in time for breakfast! especially the kids, so lunch is a Godsend!!
The snacks aren't up to much but at least they are there if you need a filler in between meals :)

Did you pay £540 for the upgrade? Do you know if the all-inclusive upgrade is available in all the Fiesta hotels?
Also, can all you diy'ers let me know of any websites to book the Fiesta hotels on please :)

and finally ( ), which Fiesta hotel is nearest to a resort centre and beach

Thank you

Hi Cadge, yes we paid £540 for 2 adults and 2 children for 14 nights all inclusive, as far as I'm aware it is available in all Fiesta hotels, it's not the same as other all inclusives Ive seen though. You only get lunch and drinks plus snacks which are basically hot dogs, hamburgers, (not chesseburgers) and ham and chesse sandwiches toasted. These are all vendorburgers and aren't that good. There are no ice creams or chips , pizza etc available and the snacks are only until 6 pm.
You can book on the Fiesta website but I have always found it to be more expensive booking direct with the hotel.
As far as I'm aware all of the Fiesta hotels are on the beach in Playa Den Bossa.
I know Palladium, Palm Beach, Bahamas, Don Toni, Playa D'en Bossa and Algarb are all on beach, however the closest to the resort centre has to be the Algarb.

http://www.fiesta-hotels.com/ is their own website and you can check prices etc there.

Medhotels also has a Fiesta hotel but the only one I can get to price is the Playa Den Bossa which is a young and lively hotel.

http://www.thehotelclub.com also has all the Fiesta hotels available to price.

Many thanks for your quick reply :D

What a bargain this sounds, we have stayed AI in San Antonio Bay in May this year and are staying AI in Santa Eulalia in July. I'm really interested in the Fiesta chain as they also seem to have lots of sporting facilities for teenagers. I am definitely going to give them a try for our holiday in May next year - thank you :D
